Congats! I've never seen "Single Barrel" Eagle 10 anywhere near me.

Regular Eagle Rare 10 is almost a single barrel, in fact they used to be labeled as such. But that changed when they switched from hand bottling to a machine and could not guarantee a small amount of the previous barrel hadn't "contaminated" the current batch.

Inexpensive way to really bring joy to those who have problems finding it. Always a plus when they share 😁

Been gifting the old man a bottle for special occasions over the last few years. The siblings can spend more yet stil not compete 😁

Very true... I bought few Eagle Rare Single barrel bottles via this, basically store picks. Store owner told me it is roughly about 200-220 bottles per barrel and they also get the actual barrel to sell it if they want.
The store owner I spoke with was asking something like $180-$200 for the barrel.
Some of those store picks are very good, some - not so. Anyway, you can rarely go wrong with Eagle Rare, regular 10yo or store pick.

Well, this thread cost me some money this past week, but not in the way you might think. All this talk of Costco whiskey had me intrigued, and last Saturday since the wife and I typically do something together on Saturdays and since she loves Costco, I suggested a trip. I thought I was slick. Ended up costing me $300 🤣. No Eagle Rare in sight, but it wasn't a total loss, they had a good enough deal on Rare Breed Rye that I figured it was worth picking up an extra bottle since it comes and goes in stock.

Fast forward to this morning, and I was stopping by the grocery store simply for some milk. Lo and behold, I dip into the liquor section and what do I find...

Good finds are everywhere... Friend of mine picked up 2 weeks ago 12yo Whistle Pig from Walmart for.... wait for it !..... $5. 😲
Now they have the 15yo (if I'm not mistaking, not a great fan of WP) that they have to clear and the clerk told my friend that he think they'll sell it for $10-$20 per bottle...

Smoke Wagon... In the beginning when they showed up, I was little skeptical about it because of the name, coming from Las Vegas it carries in first appearance some fake (IMO) contain in the name...
I was wrong. SW quickly became one of my favorites, too bad it's was so hard to find before. FYI - Seelbach's carry almost full line and when they have them shipping is something like $12 or so.
Old picture but I didn't have a new one, I still have couple of bottles that didn't open yet. One of those days... :cool: :thumbsup:

It’s in my post: Sarasota FL, Wolly World on Lockwood Ridge and University Pkw, Liquor store is on the left site of the main entrance.
‘Not hard to find even for non-local guys, University Pkw is the UTC exit West on I-75, drive straight till you reach Lockwood Ridge, probably 3mi and turn Right, W is immediately on your left in the Shopping center

Just wanted to make sure I sent him to the correct one. At those prices I'd buy all of them and give friends some great Xmas and Hanukkah gifts
 
Yes, this is the correct location but if he’s not local, I highly suggest he call and speak with the clerk about it.
‘In my experience they don’t hide bottles and will give him approximate timeline when they will lover the price.
12yo is sold out according to my friend I got the info from, last week.
‘I’m not driving much lately due to recovery from surgeries otherwise I’d be happy to get one (I don’t think they’ll sell more) for you or whoever and shipp it, I don’t care if it’s in FL or accross state-line.
‘if you have interest of decent Bourbon and have someone in the Englewood-Sarasota-Tampa area, o can suggest few stores that guarantee have nice selection of maybe not-so well known brands/juices, but truly outstanding stuff, prices around $50~$60 but well worth it… I will ask my friend we used to roam around hunting for Bourbon, if he come across secon bottle of the WP, he’ll get it for me. I’m not a huge fan of the brand, I personally prefer rye like the Smooth Ambler releases, so if I get a bottle, it’s yours if you still want it, price per receipt and I can ship ups or someone can pick it up, l’ll be happy to help. :thumbsup:
