Man that's a mighty fine knife there John and a prototype to WOW... John you call them Remington Bone Scales, is that just what you call them or were they put on Antique Remington knives? I have several old Remington knives of different patterns and I don't have any with scales that look like the ones you call Remington Bone. Could you tell me which patterns the Scales you call Remington Bone were on? I'd like to have a pattern like that if I could find one worth the money. I see scales on ebay that look like them but they have holes in them for something?Well maybe you can help me under stand a little better...
Thanks,
This one is suppose to Remington Bone according to Tony, but there are only two of them.

That's a nice one two Jim. Perhaps it is Remington Bone but like I say I have several 1920 to 1940 Remington knives and I have never seen bone in that pattern on any of them. That's pretty bone on your Bose knife. I sure would like to have a old Remington knife with bone like that on it, or even to see one would be a treat to me... Perhaps some one will post one up...

The guy that sold this bone said it was sent to Schrade to put on Remington switch blades and he was selling it as Remington bone. I think he was full of shit too but that's what he called it so that's what I call it. That's my story and I'm stickin too it.

Damn You Charlie!!!!!!
Beautiful Zulu with primo snow.
I like the long pulls on yours enjoy her in good health my friend.
I'd be just like you Tony. John also I guess? I know the man where it came from also and know where the bone came from, like I said I'm still waiting to see a 1920-1940 Remington knife with it on it Auto or Slipjoint. As you probably know Remington contracted out their Auto knife construction to Schrade, or that's what I have always been told. Remington just had 3 patterns as I know of and all were identical to Schrades of the same time period. The bone in my opinion is Schrade, I might be wrong as hell but I don't think I am but always stand to be corrected. It's still pretty Bone and looks good what ever you put it on.
I agree with Mr. Parker about the bone. But it's not Schrade Cut. Co.( What does Charlie say ?) It looks like bone from Geo. Schrade Knife Co., Bridgeport Ct.

I will start calling it old bone if it will make everyone happy. It's dam hard to find now and anyone that has it wants $150 or more a set. It's big enough to do something with and perfectly matches the type of knife I make.
Just don't call me late for dinner!![]()
