Bose Knives

Nice ones Campbell. And some blasts from the past!
What I envy most is your woodsy back yard though, me living cheek by jowl with neighbors in the heart of the city!

Thanks Campbell for posting up pix of your Bose knives quite a collection. I see one in there with Real Rembone. Like you say mint isn't every thing...

I am kinda fond of that too Mr. Campbell ;) All I need is a T. Bose Saddle Horn to go with it.. ;)

2 brief seconds, but WHAT seconds! I was opening my Zulu trapper for the umpteenth time, and figured that's about how long it takes.
When you start to open it, it's firm but pleasant. It tells you it'll stay closed when you pop open your 'chute, but it won't break off a chunka fingernail when you open the knife, even when that nail is 65 years old and brittle. Then, it pops smartly into the half stop, and waits there until you change your grip, and then a pull gets it accelerating into the open position where it thunks home impressively, saying "I will not move unless you do something terminally stupid!"
The action of the blade is regulated to act correctly every step of the way!!
Same goes for closing it. You've got leverage when it's open, so you can enjoy it's firm spring in that position, and the half stop provides the pause point, because you do NOT want THIS blade nipping a finger! It was born to CUT!! It then snaps politely but firmly home, eliminating that destructive "thwack" that is completely unnecessary, sparing the equipment.
This knife is a work of art you can enjoy with your eyes closed! It's function is every bit as beautiful as its appearance.
You can all probably tell the love affair continues. Stop me when it gets boring.

Who ever ordered the knife in that configuration gets to name it, IMO.Of course it might be a prototype? I don't know what they hunt or trap in Panama, so I wouldn't have a clue as to what to call it, if that's the knifes destination. Here in Oklahoma we'd call it funny looking Trapper...

This is the standard 4" BP(Case/Bose Millenium Trapper Frame) with BP Clip and Half-Skinner Blade. What do you think would be a good name for this knife in this blade config?

How bout PANAMA TRAPPER? Any other ideas?

Yo, you cannot take it back now. THAT'S THE NAME...!!!!!!!!

I LOVE THAT !!!

gotta go bang my head now

"Panama Trapper" has rhythm, meter or some combination of sounds that is way cool.
Kinda like Arkansas Hunter. Both names evoke the beauty and usefulness of a knife, and give the knife the cachet it deserves.
Take Zulu Trapper. If you never saw one, wouldn't you want to see it, just hearing the name?
To my ear and (admittedly vivid) imagination, it evokes the knife, and hints at some Panama connections we've heard about around this forum.
I think the name nails it Kerry. Beautiful knife!

Zulu blade dudes rock my world...!! Thanks for the support. It wasn't my idea, of course, I'm not THAT smart...!!! Kerry is superior.

Tony does that Semi Skinner blade like nothing I've ever seen before. Its really great, man, what a gorgeous knife.

I just threw out the name to get the thought juices flowing. Tony mentioned something last night about coming up with a name for it but, as you know, it's Tony's baby and he gets to name it.;)
