Bose Knives

Gents, take a step back, a deep breath and enjoy the thread. (And please take any arguments outside (and offline) by the dumpsters. ;) Wonder if a Bose has ever been used in a knife fight? :p)

"Panama Trapper" has rhythm, meter or some combination of sounds that is way cool.
Kinda like Arkansas Hunter. Both names evoke the beauty and usefulness of a knife, and give the knife the cachet it deserves.
Take Zulu Trapper. If you never saw one, wouldn't you want to see it, just hearing the name?
To my ear and (admittedly vivid) imagination, it evokes the knife, and hints at some Panama connections we've heard about around this forum.
I think the name nails it Kerry. Beautiful knife!
Thanks for letting us see this fresh from the Bose Bench Beauty, Kerry!
I will not SPEAK for my ENTIRE STATE, but this "PANAMA TRAPPER" is T.Bose STAGALICIOUS & STUNNING!!!
The NAME inspired by a FRIEND...
How AWESOME is that, Juan!!!
(GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE, KERRY)
YOU DA MAN, SWEETIE!!!:D

I'm with the SHEBOPster on this one too. The Panama Trapper is smmmok'in if'n you ask me!.

Juan, I don't know you, but I'm envious of such a fine piece of cutlery hand made by the old Dawg.

Use her well in good health! :)

Great name. It took me by surprise. Bose knives have skinned many, many different types of animals and fish in Panama and will keep doing so.

Great knife. When one thinks it gets no better than what there is, the master pulls a whopper out of his hat. Amazing, simply amazing.

By the way, I don't think that knife is for me. I'd be UTTERLY surprised and proud and glad and happy if that were the case. However, I think that baby is going somewhere else. Thank y'all for all the kind words, though.

Well it's no surprise that it's now confirmed as a Panama Trapper. :)The name is cool by itself, let alone affixed to such an exquisite knife!
What I find really surprising is how long a "mute" conversation can go on and on:eek:!!!!!!:D:D:D

Good thing we all have a good sense of humor, and can laugh at ourselves on this site!! Otherwise, it wouldn't be pretty!!;)
And Blues would have to go back to workin' for a livin':p!

To the best of my knowledge, the Trapper pattern is a USA original pattern ? The Millennium Trapper Pattern, in my ignorance I don't know what to trace that pattern back to. If it's a Tony Bose made up configuration then it's his pattern. If he was asking for suggestions to name his new trapper configuration as stated, In my feeble mind I couldn't trace it back to any original Trapper pattern, hence my suggestion "Funny Looking Trapper" I don't feel the name to be derogatory. When I stated people in Oklahoma would call it buy this name, I was referring to me. Being some what illiterate and certainly not a composer of words, I certainly wasn't trying to include all of Oklahoma in my naming of the new pattern "PANAMA JACK" sorry my mistake " PANAMA TRAPPER". Most people I know in Oklahoma would call it a pocket knife. I'm glad the knife is named, it's fitting because it doesn't look like a American original pattern or blade configuration to me. As I have stated on many occasion and for many years Tony Bose is the USA's Premier Traditional Spring back knife maker, congratulations on your new pattern. Mr. Hampton is a fine PR spokesman for "WILFRED WORKS" Knife maker, photographer and Leather Worker, congratulations to him for naming the new T. Bose Knife...

I think that knife would be a great deer hunters knife. The semi skinner blade reminds me of a scaled down butcher's knife.
I do not hunt a lot of deer here,I am currently working on getting a nuisance permit for some vinyards here.I only get out deer hunting once a year & am not so successful, honestly, this year I blew the shot at a great deer :o

However though,I hunt down & kill, many striped bass, large ones,in the season, and I can honestly say,I could scalp both fillets off a big bass with either blade on that Panama Trapper, with ease.

I hope you are referring to Deer hunting, Rick!!??:D

Looks like it'd do the job alright!

Charlie if you had ever seen this lad. There would be no doubt he was talking Deer hunting. All he needs is a switch, you know like off a tree not a blade, or T. Bose knife...

Only thing that comes to mind for me is "Kidney Stone Special" ksp for short :D.

Parker, thank you for understanding a knife is first and foremost a tool I use in the field. It would be a shame if such a beautiful knife never saw a morning of deer hunting.
