Well, Well, Well. Hello XJ sorry to hear of your troubles. just did a search on duncan and looky what I found. Hope you (or your wife:D) is enjoying the mnandi. I was considering buying a duncan knife. NOT ANYMORE, EVER. I will not do business with these people. Even if you buy a knife what about the future?
Nice work Brandi! you should get out of the trailer and get the spell check fixed. You think that one pissed off customer doesn't matter? good business sense there. Pretty tight community to be shitting in your back yard! You know why I searched duncan knives? Because there was one for sale and the seller kept lowering the price and no bites. HMMMMMM looks like the law of supply and demand. and when there is no demand....

Well i found what I needed. I used my knives and sometimes I need them fixed. That means I need a maker that stands by their work.

Duncan knives= no integrity

Has this been resolved yet? I read through the whole thread. Really messed up. Makes me very angry and I feel for you.
 
I have an idea. How about start a thread asking fellow knife nuts to donate small things to be sold on the forum, then when you have enough for a 1/4 page ad in Blade, take out an ad exposing Brad and calling him out. If you get the OK from Blade as to what is acceptable, I bet folks here might not mind helping out. You could post a For Sale ad called the "Brad Duncan Blade Ad For Sale Thread." Folks could post what they can contribute, with the moneys going to the one who takes out the ad. Heck, someone might even help you design it.
 
No my name is not Brandi. I was with Brad long before he started making knives. I have 2 daughters by him. He hasn't called them in months and he is over $10,000 behind. He is an Asshat

Just want to post one of Travis's cover letters to me about his relationship with Brad. In my opinion Travis has the same smell as Brad and is just an opportunist and an enabler. a lowly profiteer in this case. Any thing for a buck, eh Travis! the nerve of this clown. He blames anyone Brad ripped off as being naive and stupid. Sleep in dung wake up with dung!

I was able to sell 212 of Duncan's knives in 15 months without attending a show or running fancy ads. These were people that wanted Brad's knives despite all the negativity being spread in the forum world. Most of these buyers came back to buy additional knives which I like to think is because of my honesty and integrity. Yes, in order for me to bankroll Brad there had to be a profit on my part. He did in fact take care of many old orders which for the most part I shipped personally to the customer. There were a couple orders that attempts were made to substitute in which they regected that remain to be filled. The one stipulation I made was he had to work on old business while making knives for me. I noticed he took the path of least resistance and filled most of the single knife orders. It was entirely up to him as to what orders to fill and unfortunately your order stayed at the bottom of the list. I think your vieled threats only emboldened him, which means he must have known they were just threats--he is not that brave! By no means to I agree with what Brad did regarding your orders and others and my association with him in no way was a means to undercut those orders. I could have told Brad to take a hike and not even screw around with his problems but I have been collecting and dealing with makers over 30 years and realized this might be an opportunity to latch on to a pretty good maker by helping him get out of a pickle. It seems there was a log jam in every aspect of Brad's life, something you may or may not have been aware of. The accusations of drugs is a reference to the past unless he has been going to the trouble to buy fake piss! Brad's delivery was always prompt and quicker than just about any maker I have ever dealt with. He never led me astray, at least until not telling me he was pulling up stakes and quitting the business.
I think the folks have already decided in terms of Brad. I don't appreciate being lumped in the negative discussion but so be it. Clever had nothing to do with not being taken by Brad, just common sense and not being blinded by rubbing elbows with a celebrity knifemaker. At this point there is nowhere to turn for those that prepaid for knives to Brad Duncan. Hopefully there is a lesson learned in this whole episode that most of us oldtimers learned a long time ago!

No Larry, down here in Texas we know true bullshit and your tough talk has always been full of it! One thing I have always wondered-If you guys were so savy and knew Brad so well why in God's name would you front him money, especially significant amounts of money?? What you say about him in many ways may or may have been true. If you knew this then why-especially Neil who has been doing this awhile-give him any dough up front? We have a word for that down here STOOPID! You accuse me of enabling Brad but you guys let him get away with what he did without even lifting a finger. Believe me, that has been discussed among collectors, dealers, and manufacturers.So if he gets in the business again down the road and the dust has settled he will pull the same thing all over again. You and Neil were the "players" that eyes were on to see what was going to happen. Did I mention I sold 212 of his knives? Keep the soap and the bitching and moaning on the forums!
 
Sorry to bring this back up, but I just realized something. Is Brad Duncan really no longer making knives?
I noticed that there is a person on eBay that has been selling his knives that were all supposedly made in 2008. Maybe I'm being a bit presumptuous, but how can Brad have made all these knives in 2008, but not find the time to make the knives to folks he still owes money too.
And isn't the seller have some kind of a relationship to Brad? Something like friend or wife or something?
Something just doesn't seem right.
 
That seller is also known as Travis. He's been selling Brad's knives since Brad has allegedly quit making knives.

Keeping this one on top!! Duncan is making knives again. They are being sold by Cougar on EvilBay. Do not by his knives. He has not offered to make good for anyone he has screwed out of money!!!:jerkit::thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn:
 
Again and again I see many of the bad names coming perhaps it would be a good idea to some how keep a front page listing that does not go away, to keep some of those who don't know from getting burned.....

WOW..I once stood up for travis (cougar)... This news is shamefull...i guess for some Integrity goes out the window when comes to making a buck. :thumbdn: :thumbdn: :thumbdn:
