Breathe Easy respirator with rechargeable battery for a SCREAMING DEAL.

I know right?? I've been out of commission for months since I need somebody to help me do a bit of house wiring so I can run a dust collector/shop vac at the same time as my grinder without breaking the circuit. This looks like it would've got me up and running again and at such an affordable price for what it is! :(

I know this post has been up a little while, but I can't find more for sale from this vendor. Typical for me, day late and a $ short...:grumpy:

If you do another search for Racal Breath Easy you might find a decent deal. A lot of them don't come with masks though, or may not come with batteries/chargers, so beware.

Well, thanks to some tips, and some good timing I was actually able to pick up one on this deal. Thanks for this post JT--I am wondering what the difference is between the mask this comes with and that M-105 mask that Razor-edge-Knives posted. I like the idea of the screen flipping up, but I don't like the $210 price I found for them on Amazon.

JT, exactly how are you wearing yours, and how does the mask that comes with this package function?--Thanks--Don

I got mine today. Has anyone had battery or charger problems? When I plugged mine in the LED on the charger blinked 1 time and that was it. Instruction Manual seems to indicate that it should stay lit but get dimmer as charging progresses. Does your LED stay lit or does it just blink once like mine?

A pics are worth a thousand words sometimes =) Here is why I like it... I can flip it up easily and quickly, it's comfortable (surprisingly), and you can throw some noise canceling headphones on and go to work... makes it no so lonely =)

I got the M-105 as that was they lightest weight of the 3 main ones they offer (M-100, M-200, and M-300 series). They all offer the same face shield protection from the research I did, but the difference is that with each increase in number the helmet/head protection level goes up.

The charger should rapid flash green and when it is getting close to a full charge it will do a much slower pulse, then when fully charged it will be solid green.

Well mine when plugged in the light comes on and stayed one. Did not read the manual yet. Left my battery plugged in all night and unplugged in the morning. Did not notice the light as it was plugged in under the counter.

Hey JTknives thanks for the heads up! I checked originally after you posted and it seemed they were all sold out, but just so everyone knows I found another listing (if not the same person) selling the whole kit brand new for 75+ 15 shipping. Picked one up myself! They have either 2 or 3 left

Here's the item #152019564588

and not sure if links are ok here, but here's the link to the item (I'm not affiliated at all with this just wanna give a heads up to other people that seemed interested in this thread)

Good luck and thank y'allz ;)

I'm also curious in getting that versaflo mask. Does anyone know if this hooks directly to the racal breathe easy air tube or do you have to get a separate connector?

UPDATE: I left the battery on the charger all night and this morning...nothing. Have messaged seller. Will update again when I hear something.

Do you have some sort of electrical safe oil? I had to clean/lube the prongs on my cord and it helped a lot!

These look great. They've added a few more, but I keep missing them. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for one.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. Do you mean the 3 prong end that plugs into the battery or the wall plug? Or both?

I just had to oil the prongs that went into the battery side as I was having connection issues and that fixed it up... Not sure if it will work for you or not but it's worth a shot! What charger do you have? Did it come with it?

Yes, it did come with a charger and that's the one I'm using. I went out to the shop and got after it a bit with some gray Scotchbrite and a dab of dielectric grease and that may have done the trick. Given that the prongs looked a little dark, I plugged it in and out of the battery a few times to get any corrosion off of the female side. That seems to have fixed it although I had to pull it back a mm or so from all the way in for the light to stay on solid.

Thanks for the help!

Sweet! Yes I had the same issue at first, having to pull it out a tad and playing around w/ it but it seemed to have settled in and now I don't have to do that. Glad to hear it!

Thanks again. Hopefully, if there is someone else that may be having the same problem, they will see this.

Razor-edge, if you had to wear a pair of glasses under that mask, would they fit without issue?
Also, how are you wearing the 'air pump' part of the system, and oh yeah-as someone else asked, will that mask hook up to the hose include in this package this post is about, or do you need new hoses or anything?

Mine was plugged in all night and the light is still on. I noticed my plug was a little dirty was well I might clean it and maybe that will help charge it a bit faster.

I'm following this closely as I ordered one yesterday morning as well. And yes, thank you JT for the heads up! :) I still desperately need a spark bong style dust collection system to keep my shop from being caked with grinding dust, but at least I can finish a few projects that I really need to get done by wearing this... hope it works! :panda:

PS, in case myself or others have the same problem with the dirty prongs can anybody name some brand of electrical safe oil and where to get them, like Home Depot, Lowes, HF, Amazon? Just curious also if any of the main spay lube/oils fall into this category such as Ballistol, WD40, Liquid Wrench, Frog Lube, 3 in 1
etc? ;)

Thanks for sharing your updates fellas, keep 'em commin. I'll make sure to post my experience too.
