However it is not okay when you go around making stupid assumptions like that. Your Shcrade would snap in half before a Busse gets a micro chip on its edge.
Seems to me that neither assumption is backed up by facts

Busse has replaced knives that were broken on purpose......

I seriously doubt it...... Because it wouldn't technically be their knife anymore so they don't have to warranty it...
I own Beckers, ESEEs, and Swamp Rats, I have used some Busse knives of all those my choice is Swamp Rat. My Rats do every single thing better than the Beckers and ESEEs and are 95% of what a Busse can do at 50% of the cost. Every time I see a thread like this my answer is always the same just get a Ratmandu.
When someone questioned whether ESEE would replace it, here is Jeff's response....
We get this idiocy every once in a while. We will replace the knife if he sends the pieces back.
They don't care what you do, but for some reason you just can't process that.
There are plenty of examples found online, including the SMKW example above, but here is another. Some moron destroyed his ESEE 5 on purpose, then posted it with full disclosure in the ESEE forums. When someone questioned whether ESEE would replace it, here is Jeff's response....

I won't post a link to another forum, google for yourself.

I have seen the treads.....![]()
Lmao. I have 54 posts in 3 years to include this one, half of which has been trying to help you with reading comprehension.
Me - 18 posts a year.
You - 1250 per year.
You probably can't understand that either.![]()

Then why would you say they won't replace it? You don't make any sense man.
Try doing that with a Schrade and you will not have a tip anymore. That's all the facts that you need son.
Eesh... No offense, but intentionally trying to break a knife for fun just doesn't seem smart. I can understand trying to test it out to see what the breaking point is in order to show others, but at least that has a purpose to it. Just trying to bust it up and get a replacement seems like a dick move. It's pretty awesome to see that these makers will replace knives that are shot to hell, and I'm hoping that the warranty isn't taken advantage of.
So it's pretty well established that Busse and its kin are pretty awesome knives. I'm looking at the Rodent 3 and am pretty tempted to pull the trigger on that in the near future. How's it stack up for cutting, edge retention, ability to take abuse, and overall feel?
I'm too lazy to search for the thread right now, but Jerry Busse has stated that they have done extensive testing with 3V with the intention of possibly switching to that steel had it performed well enough. They never switched.I haven't seen an SR101 or infi with a comparable grind like the 2nd production run of the GSO 10. I know for a fact that busse's thick grind is the reason why it rare that you see busse with a big chip or roll.

I remember a few threads in which people have broken their Busses intentionally and even posted pics of themselves doing it and Jerry has sent them replacements. This thread seems to be attracting a lot of stupid people who don't know what they're talking about. Primarily people who can't afford a Busse therefore feel the need to try and bash on people who can.
I have owned and used both ESEE and Busse knives along with so many other reputable fixed blade brands. I know what I'm talking about from personal experience.

Everyone can quit the internet, Metal Made Fox is here, he's owned both and knows what he's talking about! Stupid people.
Like Ankerson, who gave you the internet high five for the above comments, I can't imagine you'll comprehend any of this either, but I feel like wasting my time so here goes...
If you read Busse's website it does not say they will replace any knife for any reason. Leave ESEE out, it doesn't matter, we're talking about Busse. Their warranty states unintentional coverage, so what they've done for fan boys on BF's is irrelevant to the customer who doesn't spend time here and only gets his information DIRECTLY from the company website. I'm glad they've made exceptions for folks, they sound like a cool bunch, but they're just that, exceptions, otherwise their website warranty information would read differently.
