And while we are on the topic, here is something I have been eyeballing which is also not a GEC:

Bone, not stag, but 4-3/4” overall when open, so about the same size as the keychain GEC, and only about $25 including shipping. Handmade in Italy. I have a larger plastic-handled model and it is well built and VERY sharp.
 
I have a Hogue grip sleeve coming for my security 9. If that works, I might return the long magazines with adaptors. Or not.
Actually I have three grip sleeves coming, but two will go back. I bet I know which two, but we'll see.
 
If anyone is short of a keychain knife, Maserin's Filiscjna is worth looking at I think ;) :thumbsup:

I love Yorkshire pudding. My dad makes that in Xmas with a prime rib roast. Such a fine line between perfect and burnt! He has it down now though after he bought a new oven one year it was a bit like chewing charcoal lined hard tack biscuits. ;)

I was just reflecting this morning on how knives have continued the great tradition of artisanship--masters passing on knowledge to apprentices who both take up the mantle of the tradition, but also add their unique personal touches, and, in some cases, push the tradition into new territory. I'm glad I have a couple of knives from Jason Ritchie that illustrate how artisanship continues to thrive in our own time, despite so much bad news and seeming testimony to the contrary in many quarters.

According to Mom, Gramma used to cook the Yorkshire around the roast in the same pan.
My mother is English, and used to make the best roast beef and Yorkshire pudding back in the day. The pudding was a single large affair, not small individual ones. I don’t know what sort of pan she used. And then there was a trifle pudding for dessert…

My dad is Irish and uses a cupcake muffin pan…gotta let him know about the right pan. He will prolly curse and say “my pan is fine” 😂
 
Well, here they are. The purple one had a different name and was said to be one size for all Security 9s. To me it looks a lot like the standard Security 9 handall beavertail grip. I will probably wind up with the compact grip, unless both the standard clips with their adaptors and the shorter compact clips drop out of the longer grip all right.
