The "Flitz question" thread is locked and I don't feel it would be appropriate to create another one, so I will share my experience here. In the mentioned thread there was a statement that, when polishing the blade with Flitz or a similar polish, the cutting edge may accidentally become dull. I thought that only happens when you are extremely inaccurate in polishing, but I just happened to prove it wrong. Polished my Otter Mercator (it came from the factory with some sort of spots), only the sides and checking the edge just to make sure it is intact. After that I tried to cut some paper, as I usually check sharpness level that way, and it was absolutely dull... I suspect that cloth with polishing paste somehow softly touched the edge and smoothened it at the very end (pinnacle). So I confirm, it does happen.

Saw B. Bunny this morning

We've got a young one living under our hollies - not exactly bashful...
My yard used to be practically overrun with rabbits, until a few years ago, when their numbers dropped off precipitously. I have also noticed an increase in the numbers of cats roaming the neighborhood - may be the cause.

I used to see more hawks, too. I suppose they have followed the rabbits.

Rabbit populations tend to run on about a 10 year cycle. It varies by region.
