6PM PST. This is as warm as it gets at my home. Thermometer is on the wall of our center patio. These were built into some attached homes in SF to bring in more sunlight. They are open to the air above. I’ve always told friends who want to visit the City to come in September or October because that’s when the fog goes away.

When I'm in Tennessee the Knoxville TV stations usually give three forecasts: one for the Plateau (where I'm at), one for the valley (Knoxville) and one for the Mountains.

Some folks are. In Phoenix they are known as "snowbirds".Sometimes I wish we were still nomadic.

Well, in my neck of the woods it’s always spring or fall. Don’t know what you speak of when you say, “Snow Birds”. I might have to turn on the furnace tomorrow morning to take the chill off.

Temps are about average for this time of the year, here in SW Tennessee. Highs near 90 F, lows near 70 F. We have had much hotter summers in the past than this one. It is a little dryer than usual but at present, at least where I live, we are not officially in any kind of drought condition.
