Glad to hear you and your wife are on the mend, John. I'm day 8 since testing positive, and although I'm sure I was infected in Europe, I'm using that as my guideline. My wife is some days behind me. Funny how this virus spreads. She's doing OK though.Morning porch dwellers. I realized my most recent post was about getting covid, so I thought I'd post an update so nobody would think I dropped dead. It's been a little over a week and it seems we are through the worst of it. First 3 or so days of fever approaching 102 was the worst. Now it's down to just a lingering cough getting up some remaining lung congestion and nothing tastes good.
Back to work yesterday for me - working from home, so the full 10-day quarantine doesn't really apply to me. My wife is probably out the rest of the week since she has to be cleared by a doctor to return to work, and her appointment is tomorrow.
Definitely not a fun ride, though I have had cases of the flu that went on longer. Coffee this morning is not as horrible as yesterday so maybe the taste thing is resolving itself too.

Glad to hear you're over the worst John, I hope your sense of taste is restored soon. Coffee also tasted unpleasant to me, and baked beans still taste strange, but feel like I got off lightlyMorning porch dwellers. All y'all keep getting better![]()
You might have got the Aussie version. You can get BB labelled traditional english reciepe.LOL!While checking online to see if the recipe had been changed, (because they tasted strange), I saw that the average Briton eats baked beans twice a week. With me, it's about once a month, which means SOMEBODY is eating a LOT of beans!

Sounds like you must not be married or have a spouse who shares your diet.Love beans. This spring, while travelling in the UK, I had a traditional breakfast with beans 30 days in a row.

bought some heinz bbs a few weeks ago.. english recipe...Im an Englishman by birth so I had to...However....the visit to Baked Bean aisle at Woolies became an awful nightmare of Hindenberg gas proportions...ffs texas smoky bbq beans and other full exotic attempts at marketing tinned beans was overwhelming....in particular the more 'highly flavoured' types..![]()
Oh MY!So you’re saying I shouldn’t send you a can of Dr. Pepper baked beans?

Jack, I like the untouched sign better too but the important thing is do their beans still keep you healthy, bright-eyed & slim? Has that been fact-checked and will Bile Beans still have the same health benefits if eaten, let's say... in the morning? That old sign is still there Gary! They retouched it a few years ago, which kind of spoiled it a bit I think
