What about stupid flaps on pockets? Have you noticed how good those flaps are for keeping you from putting something in your pocket? My Duluth Trading cargo pants have a watch pocket.
I have a shameful confession to make - hopefully this won’t get me voted off the porch…
My wife was struggling to open something this morning - the type of situation we all live for - an opportunity to demonstrate the usefulness of these bladed implements we keep accumulating, and to provide at least SOME justification for for the money we spend on them. I was still in my PJs, with nothing in my pockets, and suddenly faced with a decision to make - do I go to my desk and grab one of the knives I have there, or go to the drawers where I keep the rest of my stash - and which one to pick? Frozen for a second in front of the bewildering and overwhelming array of choices, I went to the kitchen instead and grabbed a pair of kitchen shears from the knife block there…
I think the solution for similar situations in the future will be to purchase some MORE knives, to pre-position about the house. That sounds reasonable, right?
Only 2 of the 9 pockets have flaps, and it's easy to sneak around the velcro tabs in the middle of the opening on 4 of the other 7 pockets. And the two pockets that do have flaps velcro'd down do have a zipper on the side of each pocket that allows one to bypass the flaps. What about stupid flaps on pockets? Great. A flap apologist.Only 2 of the 9 pockets have flaps, and it's easy to sneak around the velcro tabs in the middle of the opening on 4 of the other 7 pockets. And the two pockets that do have flaps velcro'd down do have a zipper on the side of each pocket that allows one to bypass the flaps.
The older I get the more it seems to mean to me. So you're welcome, it was my honor. And thank you for your service too.Happy Veterans Day! From one vet to another, thanks for your service!

I’m not sure I could get away with it anymore, but when I married my wife 33-plus years ago in Africa, her kitchen knives were artisanal hand-forged affairs, which got sharpened on a cinder block, or on the stone threshold out front. I wish now I had thought to keep one.You could go with my thoughts on kitchen knives and they are always ready then again it's just me if I were married I would probably not be able to get away with this.

I like em ..especialy the military style..but only in garish urban camo colours ...pinks yellows and whites...the ones that stand out like dogs ballsLet's change the subject. Cargo pants. I really don't like cargo pants. Every stupid pocket has a stupid flap with at least velcro and at worst buttons. Those stupid side pockets on the outside of your thigh are only good for knocking stuff over in a high price antique store, should you be dumb enough to actually put cargo in such a stupid place. Plus they fit like culottes. And seldom have a watch pocket which really is a good feature on a proper pair of pants. Not some stupid pair of stupid cargo pants.
I trust everyone here is with me on this.
Should I do a poll?
PS: I went to the store today in cargo pants. That makes me stupid.
