I know! Cheer up a bit mate! I know you're missing me, but you look like Boss Hog after the good old boys had him over yet again! :D

Well, a slimmer version to be fair! :D

The French have a saying about first-time gamblers, that innocents have winning hands

Hope to catch up with you soon pal :)

Jack

LMAO!

I won on the last, so broke just above even, which was nice :)

I've been forced to have some lemonade so I made it a Kentucky!

Finishing up day three of our Oregon vacation after United Airlines finally got us here!

Wednesday we had a great day on the Rogue river rafting. Things were going to be pretty wet, and the guide advised us not to take any electronics with us, but Jessica got a few pics with her phone that she had a zip lock bag. Today we did a jet boat tour up Hellgate canyon, and it was also a bit wet, but again, Jess came through with her phone. She's going to forward them to my Gmail so I ca post some pics when I get home. Presuming United Friggin' Airlines gets us home again. It's been a real trip in the total lack of customer service that some businesses have today. But we're having fun, and I hope to have some pics to share with you. Haven't really needed a knife much yet, but it was a comfort to have one in my pocket again when I got here.

Maybe it was a good idea not to have one on me Monday when they told us we were not getting out of D.C that day!:grumpy:

Haven't checked in here in a while...
Thom, glad you are OK!

Braised leg of lamb, butterflied, marinated for one day with fresh rosemary and Boujolais.
Braised on a bed of sliced leeks and shallots, rolled up with minced shallot and leek. Covered with 1 cup Mouton Cadet in my grandmothers 2L shallow enameled Iron Dutch oven. 3 hours on a rack in the grill.

Fresh Yukon gold potatoes boiled just past al dante with cracked Mediterranean salt, pepper melange and fresh minced cilantro.

Green beans julienn steamed and lightly buttered.

Served with mint jelly (me) and cranberry chutney(wife)

Sorry no pics, but it was yummy :)

I'm an uncle!

My sister gave birth to her first last night, a wee boy, 7lb 10oz. No name yet. I'm so proud. Grinning all over the place!

Paul

Congratulations Paul, I'll join you in that dram :)

Congratulations, Paul!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

If we were someplace I could buy you drink, the round would be on me.

Carl.

Congrats Paul! We just celebrated my only nephew's 7th birthday 10 days ago.

Katie and I spent yesterday at the Headlands Beach state park at Lake Erie in celebration of our 6th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time walking in the surf, fishing a bit, and getting sunburned. We went to a seafood restaurant for dinner and had a fine meal, although Katie shied away from the seafood because of the pregnancy. She had a wonderful looking steak and I went for the crabcakes. It was a wonderful day, spend with a wonderful woman. :)
