Sorry to hear about the Flu! Little sick kids are really hard for parents to bear. Hope all feel better soon. I will say however that the picture of him was really great, I feel like I look that way from time to time. Steven

Ahhhh... that poor little boy... Babies with diseases always make me sad. Baby Max is sick as well... terrible flu. I´m also interessted when Sandra or me will be sick again... :barf:

I hope Rory will be back on the trail, soon. He´s quite younger than Max so I hope everything will be ok as soon as possible. We had the same problem last year, when Max about three weeks old he also had a little flu. But that was not so bad.

Paul, I hope You, Claire and Rory will be healthy soon.

Max is sick too! I'm sorry to hear that Andi, please give the little guy a hug from the Hebridean contingent. I hope one day they get tower and swap stories! :)

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Hope the kids feel better guys!
My boy Joe has the flu too. He's 31 yrs, but listening to his mother you'd think he was still in the crib.:D

I picked up this huge old tome yesterday - The Boy's Own Annual from 1888! Around 1000 large format pages plus some colour prints. Cost me £5 - under $8! It always shocks me how little value is placed on a lot of old stuff in this country. I've only had a chance to have a cursory glance through it yet, but if there's any knife content, I'll let you know. Think I'm going to find a few chuckles for sure! ;)

Have a great weekend everyone

Edit - Thanks to Duane for giving me a heads-up that I'd originally given the date as 1988! Doh! :D

A friendly reminder. Tomorrow, Saturday, is February 14, Valentine's day.

Gents, make sure you got yourselves covered.

Thanks for the reminder, Frank. I'm a little worried about tomorrow, since I was planning a dinner out, but now we've got winter storm warnings for Saturday with the possibility of being "upgraded" to blizzard warnings, -20-something wind chills, etc. I'm not sure getting pizza delivered is an acceptable substitute (although we do have a couple of videos we were hoping to watch sometime).:eek:

Hahaha thanks Frank you've always got our backs! I'm staying in and cooking a nice dinner for the wife and myself.

Arby's got a Schrade Cut Co. melon tester today.

He likes it because of the salami advertisement! :D:thumbup:

I'm looking forward to the Aussie content of the "Ripping Yarns" book.
1888 marked the Centenary of Australia so it was an historic year in the Antipodes.
Also Get well soon youngsters. Wait til they start preschool -THEN you will know what the word "disease"means:D so much to look forward to. Janette and I often sit and fondly reminisce about some lurgy or case of the squirts we picked up off the kids when they were little. Well mainly Janette- I'm usually trying to scoff my breakfast and keep it down. That's Nurses for yer.

Pretty cool find Jack! I could see myself spending some hours just looking at the plates.

For sure my friend :)

Well, yeah, I'd have not a thing to worry about for Valentine's Day if only I'd learned to talk that Frenchy talk like you did, Jack! :D:D

Jack, the horse and rider reminded me of an incident of mine with a wild pony when I was about 10.

After dusting myself off my dad calmly said, "pony stopped, rider didn't".

My grandad said, "he ain't worth a burnt match".

At least he was talking about the pony, not me :)
