Such WONDERFUL news. Bob and I are Patriot fans and I told her Bob and I always text back and forth during the games. I told him before the surgery that the Patriots need his support and I'll be darned Bob won't let our Patriots down:thumbup: They play tonight and I will be texting:thumbup:

I told Lan to tell him there's no need to respond and to concentrate on getting his strength back:thumbup: Such FANTASTIC NEWS!!!

Just talked to Lan and Bob"s had a bit of a turn around. He is awake and sitting up in a chair.

Bob just called, what a wonderful sound to hear his voice! He said the doctors were not expecting him to react like he did. But I think it is contributed to Bob's weakness from all he has been through. He is definitely a tough man! He said that this surgery should give him more time and the doctors are optimistic that it will. More time to spend with his family and friends. He is obviously tired but is definitely alert and talkative! I told him we have all been pulling for him. He is very thankful for all of his friends here on the Porch. He was even talking about the Patriot game tonight! I did not want to tire him and the connection was not the best. I am sure we will be hearing more soon. He says hello to all here.

One more update Bob just texted me and said he had talked to Paul and Ron and he was a bit tired and would call me tomorrow.

A WONDERFUL sight when caller ID showed Bob as the caller. He said all of what Ron mentioned above and even elicited a slight chuckle when I referred to Bob having to be here to cheer on the Patriots. Just elated at the fantastic news with Bob pulling through.
