Good to hear you've got those kids Randy. They'll do you good, and being with Gramps is something they'll come to value.

OMG Ed, Utah's a really cutie.

As some of y'all might recall, we lost our Doxie "Hootie" unexpectedly some time ago. We took it really hard.

Well, meet our new Doxie "Utah". She's a real hand full. She's all over the place with her nose everywhere and scooping up whatever she finds - should have named her "Hoover".

How wonderful, Ed! I love your big ol' heart.

Here's to Hootie.

Good girl, Hootie.

Welcome, Hoover Utah!

Ack! You have used the name of the Poster Who Shall Not Be Named Publicly. I guess you missed that conversation earlier in this thread.

And maybe you missed my post that it is not acceptable to this mod to have posters publicly reprimanding other posters. Especially for something which is not prohibited by the posting guidelines. You want to ask a favor on use of names? Do so via PM.

Woke up at 5:00 and it was cold in the house and I had to turn the heat on. We set the temp at 65 at night but it was 60 in the house this morning (not use to that) the reason was because it was 40 outside. That's the coolest it's been here since May. I like autumn but it brings an awareness that winter is around the corner and I'm not a fan of winter.

I'm a fan of Central Texas winter, which is like autumn in the northeast. The first couple days of chilly weather, I open the doors & windows until the inside temps are the same as outside. I'll bundle under blankets for a few days. I have a theory that all the insects and rodents are looking for somewhere to spend the winter, and I want my house to give no heat signature. Then, once they are all settled under the neighbor's houses, I'll close it up and turn on the heater. Pest free all winter. :p

It may be a silly theory, but I rarely see a creepy crawly in the winter time. :D
