Thats a really nice set up. I’ve been drooling over a GHM for a while now but I keep spending the coin on other stuff when I save enough.
how do you like the recoil impulse with/without the can? Is there a lot of blowback/gas in face with the suppressor on it ?
After writing that I feel a dumb and dumber toilet scene meme may show up.

I went ahead with my Glock 44 order and was told it may take a couple weeks to get one. The reviews are really mixed on this gun in an extreme way.

Never shot it without a can on it (anymore if it’s not suppressed I don’t shoot it). Recoil is very light, this is my first 45 sub gun and loving the weight and compactness. Kinda wanted a LWRC SMG but the buyers premium on them right now was keeping me away, plus they probably won’t run with a 3 lug on them while at least I knew the B&T would. Plus I was impulsive when I got this. Wanted a 45 sub gun and hated second and third guessing my options so just said hell with it and went for it

I have a couple 9mm sub guns that don’t have any blowback in the face (MPX and Scorpion) This being a 45....it’s like shooting a suppressed 45 pistol...you definitely need eye pro cause you’re gonna have crap launch back at you

Thanks for the reply.
I too have felt the siren song of the LWRCI SMG45, I like everything about it other than it taking HK mags- which really is no big deal. I’ll wait a few years before getting one to see how they hold up because I had a very bad experience with an LWRCI M6A2.

After looking at the B&T offerings I keep getting pulled to a Scorpion because of the cost. It may not be a .45 but I could have a very nice and tricked out scorpion for much less than the B&T. Then again, the Scorpion doesn’t have that sweet 80’s Miami Vice look that the B&T’s have. I hope to eventually have both:)

I actually like the fact that it takes HK mags, maybe just cause I was debating about doing a USC to UMP conversion? OR maybe it's just looks, something about them....hmmm

The Scorpion is neat, I just got mine on an impulse, didn't really need it. Was more curious "what they were about" kinda thing. Have friends that have them and had to install a lot of parts on them for them. Yeah they're cheaper, but change the grip out, mag release, spring kit, trigger, possibly hand guard, brace or pic rail adapter for the rear them brace, AK style safety or safety delete and your $900 gun quickly became a $1200 gun. The cost on the B&T GHMs really aren't that bad for just the pistol. You get the telescoping brace option and it jumps a lot cause that brace with the tail hook is a $600 brace. The only thing that maybe could be added to the GHM is a trigger (stock one isn't bad) or maybe a Custom Smith pic rail rear. Overall cost will still be a tad more than a decked out Scorpion but the machining is amazing if you handle them side by side. Plus it's something that not everyone has which really adds to the cool factor (in my opinion).

Another option would possibly be a Stribog

I think HK has the cool factor of the market down to a science and if I had picked up that USC 20 years ago when I had it in hand I’d be flush with HK mags, but, as it sits, I sold all but the VP9. Too bad the UMP isn’t an option to Joe Citizen, I’d really like one of those in .40.
What you described about the Scorpion is both the draw and the dilemma, depending on wether or not I want a beautiful out of the box GHM with no mods “ needed “ or the Scorpion that doesn’t “ need “ them but is a must to make it what I want.

The Stribog is a very interesting option, especially with the MP5 shaped brace. There’s enough aftermarket support to make it fun but it’s alright as it comes out of the box. I’ve been eyeing that one and watching reviews for a long time.

Let’s not forget the CMMG Banshee, that’s another one that has me thinking it’d be nice to add to the collection. In a world of AR style guns it’s not as different or sexy as the other options but they have a great reputation.

How lucky are we to have so many great choices that are different enough from each other to make it interesting.

I like pistol caliber carbines/SBRs to be as tiny as possible; which typically means folding stocks/braces. Couple friends have Banshees and really like them, but just think the AR platform is way over utilized cause it's easier for them to go that route then to design something new and compact. The traditional bolt in the Banshee was pretty innovative though. Wasn't too warm to the Noveske Space Invader when I first saw it though but it's an AR style and growing on me, same with the Ghetto Blaster (admittedly so is the Q Honey Badger by default)

Definitely way more options out now, and quality options, then there has been. Fightlight is even starting to do 9mm pistols-rifles that resemble a Tec 9 a bit but are pretty well thought out, especially with the barrel nut system.

Brownells bringing back an AR180 style rifle, I'm hoping the demand and quality is there that they start doing pistol calibers as well eventually. That being said would be nice to see a CZ Scorpion in 45 and for POF to finally get the PSG working but not holding my breath for either

Is there a way to add a pistol brace to a Glock?
