CBM's - Customized Benchmade's

Thank you very much Wolf_HR, I do appreciate it your kind words.
Here's some new Double Black Micarta Mini's.....

I like Micarta a lot.
But, I am a user, not a collector.
It has a nice comfy grip, very cloth like, especially when you sand @ 100 grit.
It will turn completely black when you get it wet.
It's no biggy though, it dries out looking just like it did before it got wet.
Oils will also give you dark spots.
You can see this in my pics; there's a little darkening around the screw side of the pivot.
Unpolished Micarta, that is used, will definitely get some character to it.
But, if an oil spot has to go.
Then the quickest way to make that happen, is a little rub down with alcohol and a rag.
It's very grippy when wet too.

Keyman, your work is just incredible! I gotta have some customs scales made someday...after I can decide which one of your awesome designs I like best (which is NOT easy)!!!

Keyman your work is very impressive, i have some black G10 in the mail to start my second project! I was wondering where you source your materials?

My MPR is the only CBM I have done. I am mostly a hole in the blade guy, but lately I have been bitten by the ZT bug.

Here's my 710 with the BK blade coating removed; all work by hand, the knife was sent to Benchmade for tuning and given a 30 degree inclusive, backspacer was replaced by standoffs. Middle pic was about 3/4 done, top and bottom finished:

That lightning strike carbon makes some dang nice scales! The excellent craftsman probably doesn't hurt :)

nice work Pete. I saw your thing on YouTube so I check this out right away . you did a great job on those scales

Thanks guys! cant wait for my griptillian in the mail to do another

SilentJohn, i looked at Keymans work on your knife alot when doing this, it was inspiring!

Thank you very much for your compliments guys!
When you're ready PM me for more info.

I'm still new to this site. Is pm'ing the same as sending an email? Sorry for being dense. I've already sent an email if that's the case. Lol

I wonder why there isn't a larger market for custom scales. Who wouldn't want to customize an EDC? I mean, they are a part of the outfit right. ... Might as well make it look good too.
