Composite Blade Shallot

Interesting that in the photos from both Thomas and 2brothers the blade's edge seems lighter than the back, is it the flash or something? I'm assuming that the ZDP is actually darker, right? I'd love to see some pictures of how it looks "in person", if that's even possible.

I'm a little confused by how you mean "limited" here. Like, it has a lot of limitations, or you're going to use it for limited purposes because of some reason, or what? From the little I've been able to find and read about it, it seemed that ZDP was a really versatile steel, so I'm a bit perplexed when you describe it as limited. Am I just interpreting what you said wrong?
 
From what I understand, the CB Shallots have not had the blades etched. The etching of the other Kershaw CB's darken the CPM D2 that is used on the cutting edge. Had the Shallots been etched too, I think the ZDP would appear darker than the 14C28N spine. Without, the ZDP seems lighter than the spine.

As for Limited, Jeremy is referring to the production number. These won't be an everyday catalog item, so they are classified as a Limited Edition or Sprint Run!

FWIW, I had a 5500k fluorescent photo lamp above those. No box, just a quick shot.
But in the hand, they look darker. Crazy

Don Vito is right. I meant the ZDP Shallot is a limited edition. It is certainly UNlimited in its uses. I've enjoyed my new knife this past week!
 
Can someone tell me who has these available for sale currently? I have only seen them on auction sites.
 
I may not be a Made Guy, but can I at least qualify as a Good Fella? Help your boy out here...

Aha, thanks for clearing that up. Man, you're lucky to have gotten yours so early! I ordered one over a week ago and it still hasn't even shipped yet :( Still, we've waited pretty long for these, I guess I can wait a little longer. :D
 
just FYI this blade is amazing. Getting a zdp edge for s30v money is definitely the way to go!!!!!!! Please make this a regular option on more blades. Thanks!

Kendal put off his Kershaw order for about a two weeks longer than he originally planned, so I ended up getting the ZDP Shallot elsewhere...I just can't wait two weeks to get one!

Actually I got a Bob Lum Chinese folder and a Jess Horn light weight to go w/ my Mini Cyclone and yhe CB Shallot I have on the way. ZDP makes me Kookie!!! Russ:D
