And, unfortunately, no fixed blades. :(

sorry to get off topic:

Gnramin, check out this thread,

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=669322

this is something that's been discussed a bunch recently, and it seems counter intuitive, but new NYC rules and regs fail to mention fixed blades (though they do mention rocket launchers).

Luckily I'm not camping in Central Park and tend to leave the city for excursions that require a blade. If someone needs to travel within the boroughs with a blade, make sure its put away, definitely under the size requirement, and not considered a gravity knife.

A nice thin bladed knife with a very slender point, around 4-6 inches long similar to a boning knife. that has a raised handle compared to the blade so it would make a nice slicer in the kitchen. And a green linen handle. and the blade would have a very smooth sweeping belly to the point. And a satin finish.

ONE HANDED MACHETE!!!
take the ruck kensai and cut it down to a single hand. you might be able to get around having nothing near the pinky to stop the knife from sliding out by swelling a set of custom micarta scales a little to give you something to slide back on.

choiless ratmandu and harry carry
I love everything about both of these designs except the choil. if the harry carry had been choilless or the choil had been more straight going into the edge, I would have kept it as my edc. the handles are the biggest draw, using correct positioning of palm swell center radius to finger swell center radius, and keeping both in a really nice proportion (not to severe on the back side).

The new scrap yard regulator bowie
but choiless (:p) and with full micarta slabs (preferably regular since the extra weight will drag back the balance). I don't know about the top gaurd, but the idea of that bowie sparked my interest until I saw the choil.

ultra heavy pauls hatchet
take the pauls hatchet design but with a harry carry/ratmandu style handle, but make the head .410". You'd have to machine the the pole/handle down to 3/16", leaving only the head portion that thick. it would help to step away from the problem the pauls hatchet had, being to light for how small it was.

NMSFNO with a bit of recurve and a harpoon swedge in tanker gray and black and blue G10-aka the drunken sailor

and for sure an axe but camp axe size and a real nasty evil shape you don't want to look at for fear of being hurt by it, something akin to an eagle claw or mid evil beheading axes with a spike on the other side-aka the executioner

Can we offer two ideas?

Want most a larger EDC: 4" blade, clip point, 3/16" thick, 5/8' tall.

Cool factor: Subhilt, 6" satin blade, 3/16" thick.

Madness? This...is...Busse!!! ( Kicks the asshole down the well )

Busse Xiphos
14 1/2" Double Edge Leaf Blade, Serrations on one side near handle, Dual extended front and rear guards
21 1/2" Overall
3/8" Thickness
3 1/2" at its widest
Skull Crusher / Utility Loop at end

Yeah, I know the Spartan thing has been done to death, but the thought of Busse making a hardcore reproduction of this historical piece just makes me smile ear to ear

An honest to god fighter
this is my idea of a fighter, and i don't think it could be done because of warranty issues, but if we're talking dream semi-production run why not. basically, I'm looking for a thin combat grade grand piano (choiless). The grand piano was a handled 6" pbf with a slight modification to the handle, there was no skull crusher spike and there was an index finger cutout. What I'd be interested in would be a the same handle shape as the grand piano, but with the skull crusher spike still installed, or at least with a slightly extended pommel, with no choil, and very thin. at least 1/8", preferably 1/16". a "fighter" is a butchers knife, it's not a combat knife, so everything about it needs to keep that in mind, thin hard edge, reletively acute tip, indexable handle thats grippy when covered in blood and held by a weak hand. preferably standard size textured black canvas micarta, no g10. I would not be adverse to replacing the full blade catch with a more basic ramp, something that puts pressure on the hand when you stab something hard, but not large enough to impede the thumb being placed over it. 3/4 flat saber.

The reason I say no g10 - there are certain things that should not be on a knife designed for fighting:
-thick blade that isn't heavy enough for chopping
-slippery handle material
-non textured scales (same reason as slippery handle materials)
-choil of any size.
-weak or compromised grip (needs to fill out the hand, and keep the fingers alligned in close to a fist pattern, the farther the fingers are stretched the weaker the grip becomes when torqued in the hand)

5 blades in from the left is the grand piano

a purpose built infi bottle opener!!! because my aluminum shark just doesn't cut it anymore.

* a SHSJ-sized Culti, same curves/lines as the Cluti but bigger, with or w/o an ASH-sized choil. maybe .20 thick... I think it would be an instant classic....

* a Sar4 handle with an FSH-length Sar4 blade, and .20 thick please. It would sort of be like a new, more utilitarian, version of a Mojo/Mofo which is such a great all-arounder size. this would kick ass.

this is for amy and stewart,

guys try a randall #4 and model 16-7" the sp#1 look and mix. do the finger grooves, desert ironwood scales with tan micarta for looks and enhancement or the ironwood.
skull crusher and skinny or fat would be an option, not only would this be an excellent user, but it would be a winner and seller, imho. this knife would be easy to do as combat or LE.

take care and stay coooooooool

How about a Natural Outlaw with an ASH-1 handle:cool:

Ok, I second this nmsfno idea!

I have a NARK with the fine serations, that are close together. It looks like it was put on top of a Band Breaker.
It gives the knife a unique design that I haven't seen on any other Busse Knife.

How about something similar to a gerber mark II. But with all the Busse input. A symetric wasp style dagger out of INFI and and sweet micarta handle would be so awsome. Oh yeah, no serrations like the more current ones. 1/4 inch thick, satin finish, and a real grippy handle. Just my .02
