Start with the FBMLE as the blade pattern. Make it with a 0.25" thick blade. Add a curved clip to it like the prototype Bowies shown here. G10 handle. Full flat grind. Convex edge. Melted spine. Competition grade finish.

We divided our production team into 4 different teams. These teams will each have 2 leaders. They will be making a design of their choosing and these designs will be posted as a special offer. The team that has the biggest hit will win a valuable prize!!!! If a group uses your suggestion, you will receive a free knife from that offer!!!!! These can be modified versions of past designs or entirely new ideas!!!! The first one to suggest the idea that inspires the team's design will be the winner. . . . There are 4 teams and therefore, 4 chances at winning. If a team uses a design that has not been suggested, then NO prize will be awarded. Each team will decide whose post inspired them the most and will pick their own design winner.

NO DRAWINGS or PhotoShop Pics!!!! . . . They will be deleted!!!!. . . Written descriptions only!!!!!

They're gonna need your help, so tell 'em what you want and encourage them to bring it!!!!

Good luck to all who participate. . . .

Jerry :D

Here are the Team Names and their respective leaders. . . .

Super Amy & Little Boy Wonder. . . . Amy-0 and Beef

Kong & The Tooga Tot . . . . Lora and Josh

Captain Cabo & The Hill Stick Kid . . . . Garth and Ron

Under The Radar . . . . Kendra and Bubble (No one over 5' tall allowed!)

I didn't know Kendra and Bubbles could grind, I'd like to see that!!!! You go girls!!!!

I always wanted an INFI axe, the edge would last forever, but that would be a pretty tough task to take on, especially since there wouldn't be any existing pattern to go by or alter. ;) I'll bet it would be a real winner though with all the people out there that like to chop!!

Lol, Beef.

One cool kid.

Um...

All I have to say is this.

Nuclear STRAIGHT HANDLE Satin Jack.

I think the best knife would be a combination of old and new design that inspires all of your fans to try out a different style that has the Busse interpretation added to it. I would like to see a Busse Nessmuk. It would be a great knife that could perform many roles and look tough at the same time.

Handle- The handle should be similar to that of the Fusion Battle Mistress(FBM). I think it should be between 5 and 5.5 inches long. I would like to see a nice curve at the butt-end of the handle. The handles should be Magnum black G-10 with a fat palm swell and thinner ends. The normal pins are fine, but I would like to see solid pins to fit the style of this knife a little better. It would be nice with a big butt, pommel, talon hole combo that drops at a good angle relative to the handle.

Blade- I would like to see a similar blade geometry to the Dan Koster Monster Nessie. I like an interpretation of a Nessmuk more similar to his than most of the others that are out there. One major difference I would like would be a slightly longer tip and still maintaining a nice Nessmuk style belly. I think the blade should be between 8 and 9 inches. It can be .22" thick, but if it can be thinner and still strong enough that would be nice. It should have a saber grind or flat grind.

The Nuclear Melted treatment should be applied to the whole knife. I would like the knife to be smooth like butta all over.

The Talon hole should have a larger than normal interior diameter. It will have to be tucked in close to the blade or handle to fit the design. Hard to show that without a drawing.

I am normally a satin finish fan, but in this case I would like to see a higher polish on the blade.

I would like to see a nice finger choil.

I would like to give it a name that is not so literally tough. I think I want to call it the "Crybaby". If that does not work how about "Butter Knife".

I think this nice would also leave the door open to create a small version to make a potential set. I would buy it.

I am ready to see this knife in production!

Thanks for the chance to participate,
Travis

1. Sabregrind HOGFSH (.32" Spine) with regular micarta handles and DC finish. No NM treatment but with nicely chamferred holes done after the DC treatment so the chamfering has a nice satin glow.

It would be cool if some customised laserengravings would be possible on the spine like "Busse Combat "HamCraffted":)

"NYSFNO"

NYC says under 4' blades to carry. I've been thinking about this a while. So scale down the SFNO to 3 7/8ths blade or some thing just under the carry limit. It should satisfy the EDC votes and the SAR votes and still have the same awesome SFNO blade shape and and handle style (just smaller choil/talon/scull crusher). maybe DC w/blk G10 or an LE in Satin/Tigerhide.

there have been a number of mentions here to shrink blades down to around 4' what could that extra 1/8 hurt :)

OR

It may be cool to see a double edged SJ with a mudder res C handle. It would be almost like a dive knife.

So we all get 4 design ideas yeah?

My first would be to have a blade like the one Eric got at Knob Creek earlier this year. The one I think he described as 'Garth just letting the blade fly' from the handle. The handle being modeled after a SK. Persian fighter style I think sums it up.

So with that in mind extend the blade to 7'' or 8'' length, then offer options such as:
1) rounded butt or pointy (like the ST-56)
2) penetrator tip or swedge or plain tip
3) single groove (like the mudrazor) high up maybe 1/6th from the spine running out to the tip or plain blade no groove.
4) jimping or none on the spine similar to the SAR4.

Lastly a new type of handle slab that had micarta as it's base but with some RES-C inserts. Don't know how you'd do it but it could give great grip and look outstanding.

You can put forth as many design ideas as you can come up with. . . .There are 4 teams that will be choosing ideas. . . .These ideas are open to Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard designs as well!!!!!

Jerry, Thanks for yet another great treat for all the HOGS and Piglets out there.:thumbup::thumbup:

The first thing I can think of is a NMSJT II;

A) .220 Jack
B) Meltdown features
C) Swegde at least semi sharpened
D) A REAL Skull crusher pommel, prefer the flats tapered, b ut the very end still square
E) Standard thickness slabs (want this to be EDC comfortable) in black and TAN
F) Maybe make a slightly shorter version for real concealed carry
G) name it JAT (Jack of ALL Trades), or EDJ (Every Day Jack), or DJWM ( Don't Jack With Me).

Oh, when I win, give a call and let me know when to expect the perfect EDC blade!!;)

BTW, the very first INFI I bought was a TAN/TAN Meaner Street from Hammie. While I carry many other INFI blades, that one gets the very most carry time still.

Let's get that Double Cut WAKI going too. And we are all still waiting to find out what the Waki butt is designed for!!

I need a shorter Waki style blade to compiment the Waki sword too.

I would love to see a Busse Nessumuk/skinner hybrid with an extended pommel so you can wack on it. Jimping on the spine for your thumb and forefinger.

I reckon something similar in size to a Fusion Steel Heart but with a wider blade. I'd like to see the cutting edge be level with the talon hole, perhaps even go past it slightly, so when in use, especially with a cutting board etc... the cutting edge would rest flat on the surface of the board. A Nukular Meltdown spine as well and the stock probably around .25 to .27 with a full convex grind for a perfect heavy duty kitchen blade that chops, slices, juliannes :D Canvas micarta handles and the regular fusion handle shape.
