AFFORDABLE hunter/skinner with a drop point blade, and anorexic.

As someone else said, a larger game warden would be great. The handle shape is fantastic, but needs to be bigger for those of us with large hands. And a blade with a cutting edge of 4- 4.5"

A Busse axe head that would fit a traditional hickory handle.

A Busse tomahawk head that would fit a wooden handle.

A frame-lock FOLDER, with a GW blade.

A toothless ST-Ripper, without the re-curve in the blade (I never liked sharpening it), and with an inch or two taken from the blade.

An anorexic SAR (of the swamp rat variety) with a deeper blade.

I did not wade through 12 pages of posts . . . I would love a thin/anorexic Leaner/Meaner with no choil.

A SAR4 with a full flat grind, a smaller (and lighter) handle (maybe skeletonized) with a larger choil (not huge, just larger than the SAR4, large enough to fit an index finger), or no choil at all. and with a drop point.
oh! and loose the tongue at the end of the handle, just leave some metal protuding, not that much.
this knife would kick the a@# of any fallkniven F1 and the BRKT bravo1 as the ultimate and pratical survival knife.

I want a Game Keeper: Take a 5" Ergo Badger Attack blade with a heavily ground swedge back to the straight edge and a handle like a scaled-up Game Warden.

Alternate:

5" Persian-style trailing point with the EU/Ergo handles. Think shorter ST-56 with a bigger "swoop" to the blade and more downward tilt to the handle, a la the EU-17.

i would like to see an ergo shaped handle, but for medium sized hands. or for that matter, a fusion handle of the same.

i like the looks of the ergos the best, but i need about an inch cut off and slightly reshaped for those of us who dont have baseball mitt sized hands. narrower and thinner.

then make it thin, maybe .187 or .200 at the most.

steel heart or outlaw sized, 6"-7" blade, full flat grind, 1" choil, or wide enough to choke up and use it.

maybe 2" wide, full belly.

general purpose camp knife, long enough to chop, thin enough to skin and prep food.

Im gonna say a FFMM.

Fat Fusion Mr. Mojo!!!

or just a Fusion Daddy Mojo... That's a .25 9"-10" Mr. Mojo with fusion handles.

I want to say MOAMM!!!!

I would even love to see a 4" recurve that's based on the Sar4. Nephew Mojo....

Whatever it is just please give us Mojo!

something .125" thick with an 18 or so inch blade and overall length of 23" or so for me please.

How about an AD based blade but with the GW Hack style choilness handle. Blade at ~0.17" full flat. That would be a great edc.

anorexic assault shaker, satin, nuclear meltdown, FOUR FINGER handle, sub 3" blade.

Just thinking about it I make gutteral noises...and drool a little.

This is almost the same thing that I came up with as my first thought.

Take the original Assault Shaker....
- slim it down to 3/16"
- extend the handle to give the pinky somewhere to sit
- extend the blade from 2 1/4" to the 3 1/2 - 4" range, full flat grind
- Black coating
- add double layered handles made from 1/16" or 1/8" Yellow Paper Micarta (inner) and 1/16" Black Linen Micarta (outer)
-- attached with 4 mosaic pins (http://jakeknife.com/cgi-bin/image/templates/18b03.jpg)
-- hand shaped to take the edges off (a Nuclear Meltdown for the scales only)
-- mill "∞BUSSE∞" through the Black Linen Micarta on each side of the handle

Re-make the 1984 Tanto....
- no choil
- Talon hole on front guard
- same handle slabs, but with tubes instead of brass bolts

Old School Mean Street....
- increase the blade height from ~1" to ~1 1/2" (and also the handle in proportion)
- offer it in Boney, Lean & .25" versions

Basic 5....
- INFI instead of M-INFI
- Full-sized Resiprene C grips instead of the smaller version

∞

Thanks for all the great input guys. I know all the teams really appreciate the ideas, we are all listening.

I for one am excited to see what will come out of this contest. I think everybody ends up winning in the end.

Again thanks, and keep the ideas coming.

Garth

P.S. I gotta go find out who this Captian Cabo is. Punk stole my booze when I wasn't looking.

3rd design:

Remake/remodel the Holy Terror. Have options for either serrations, plain, sharpened/swedged (like the old ones), different colors, maybe curved form vs angular etc.

The choices could be endless and with so many of us having multiple blades these days then everyone would need at least a few.

Oh, wow. That's it.

A Holy Terror for an E series, an ASH, and a Fusion series.

Sell like hot cakes for sure.

That's the idea.

THE "FLYING HOG"!

A shuriken style throwing knife, suited for combat and utility as well.

Thick, straight handle, straight spine on the handle(for no-spin throw).
Balance: Heavy in the handle

Blade shape: Somewhere between SOD and Regulator.
Blade thickness: About .21". Thick point.

I would be all over a Basic 7 in INFI and with the Swamp Rat type Resipren C handle. And if both the blade and the handle were in tan color that would be even better. Oh, and I would also like it to have the choil for index finger that most Busse models have.

A bigger HG 55 bowie style blade with a 9 to 9 1/2 inch blade sharpened clip and a tapered tang

An integral guard would be nice does not have to be big

A fast proper fighter

Would really like to see some tapered tangs coming out of the shop

In Jerry's own words "Imagine a 3/16" 10 inch long INFI bowie blade with a BAT point, canvas micarta handle, double cut finish, that ONLY WEIGHS 9 1/2 ounces!"

It was called the Internal Affair!!!

Here's what I'd like to see. A tanto from Busse. Specifically, an Americanized tanto with a crazy multi-grind tip a la Walter Brend or old-school Microtech tantos. Give it a black G-10 or black paper micarta handle. Look up one of Walter Brend model 2 tantos and you'll have a starting point for the kind of knife I have in mind. I don't think Busse has ever made a tanto, but I haven't been around that long. Something like a Busse model 2 would be a big hit, with a multi-grind penetrator tip, which would give strength to the tip while adding a big cool factor to the grind.
