I emailed Amy something similar earlier (Today, 06:59 PM). :D:thumbup:

I would go for a version something like Bark River has. 2 1/2 feet long - with tiger hide :) .20 thickness would work just fine.

It would be inline with the "camp knife that chops" tradition of Busse - with a pink micarta handle specally made for our more fair members :)

I'm down with that... scratch the pink. Elvis is dead. :p

MOANSJ - Mother of All Nuclear Satin Jacks .32 saber ground SHSJ blade with shark-fin serrations along the top, tigerhide micarta :D

INFI Kitchen Cleaver. .25 to .32 satin full NM treatment and full height convex edge.

INFIULU - 4" satin ULU blade, Snakeskin handle

What about a Busse version of the WWII USMC Bolo knife.

I see this easily originating from a straight handled BM. Just a nice thick wide blade.

Make sure to sharpen the rounded tip part way down the back of blade, as original.

Okay guys I am new to the forum and Busse knives so try not to laugh to hard.

A lot of times I like to carry more than one knife and it is nice to have one you can tuck away say in your boot or on a small chain around your neck or anywhere and this second knife should not be too heavy

Also, many of the Busse knives are large choppers or sword like.

Something different may be in order for this challenge. Say maybe a boot knife under 8" overall with a blade under 4" made of infini. The blade would be double edged, kind of like the old Arkansas Toothpick knife . The blade would gradually come to a point with the real tapering to the point starting with the the last third of the blade. It would have a full tang with maybe a skeletonized handle.

Just thinkin.........

Satin and Black Paper are a great start to any neo-classic design! I would have been screaming for a thin mistress but the Bushwacker has it, so just bring it!!!

Woo boy did they let the genie out of the bottle with this one :)

Actually I am surprised its only 8 pages so far......

Just think of all the emails the Busse gang will be sifting through - and its not even a Ganaza yet!

Jaxx --> You are correct, I told you I was new. That is what I was referring to. Those are beautiful man!!!!

Yes they are. :) They were introduced at this year's BLADE East show in Atlanta, where I was lucky enough to score these. Good idea, brother! What other ideas do ya got??

"Busse-Bar" That classic military fighting knife, in the super steel INFI, done up with new slabs and the notable busse rivets.

I've got 2 ideas....and I don't see myself making 'em for various reasons.....

1) "Officer's" kukri- 5-7" blade, 3/16" stock
2) Busse Smatchet- This design was well thought out but I've never seen a really quality execution. Given the intent of the design, INFI would be perfect. Stock could be as thick as 1/4" if blade length goes 7-8", but remember, the thing has to be light enough to carry on a LOOOOONG walk.

I'm not the first to say it, but a genuinely functional bottle opener would be tip-top as well (again, design up to you, but make it really easy to use....and safe!)

Handle materials, finish final blade length and width? Up to you!

How' bout BuwBow - Busse Wide Bowie?
Make it real wide, real thick, real pointy with real blood grooves :)

How 'bout the ultimate do-it-all and lookin' good at it knife:D

An INFI Ratweiler, sabre ground, .25 (with a fatty LE for those with $$), with a old-school straight handle canted just a hair (2-3 degrees) for a more aggressive cut:thumbup:

INFIN, a shark fin shaped skinner of ginormous proportions.

The Wack Jack, a straight handled Satin Jack with smooth slabs, no choil and a nine inch blade.

The Mean Sweep, a Mean Street with a very pronounced curve in the blade, like some sort of freakish Persian Pork Belly Skinner with a nice pointy tip.

The Razor Mistress, a harpoon-tipped SHBM with Hell Razor bo-hi and (possibly) CBT.

The SAK-50 (South American Kensei, 50cm blade), done up like a normal AK but with a broader machete blade and shorter handle.

The TUSK (Tactical Undercover Skeletonized Knife), a super mean INFI blade made for concealability and armor penetration.

A Cali Assault, an Argonne Assault with no knuckles.

The House Shaker, an Assault Shaker with a 4 inch blade.

The Game Street, a Game Warden with a 4.5 inch blade.

Other than than, I've got nothing.

How about a hunting ASH-1 at 3/4 the size with a gut hook on the spine near the tip and a recurve blade. Maybe some serrations just in front of a usable choil

Mulder is on to a good one: SFNO blade with an ASH-1 handle.

Another would be a 5" blade that's not as tall as the BATAC's with a simple, trim handle.

A re-intro of the original Satin Jack would be great also.

I can't read the ideas fast enough, pages are adding quicker than I can sroll through so I'm going to throw my ideas in real quick!

Larger run of the ST-Ripper. I carry mine all the time, it's as close to perfect as I have come across.

I could use an INFI Machete as well, make it one handed, and thin enough that you don't want to chop of your own feet after carrrying it for ten miles. I'd say 3/16th's thick and not more than 16 inches OAL. Meltdown treatment for sure. Sabre Ground would be awesome.

And, a bird and trout re-issue (in INFI this time)....

That would have all my needs covered and I could die an even happier man!

Jeez that's a lot of ideas! How are you guys gonna get through all these? From what I'm seeing the letters SJ are definitely going to be involved. I'm boiling my thoughts down:

Satin Finish
Blue/Black Magnum Slabs
Choil
Bottle Opener

Good luck teams!
