Cult of the peanut , members

Glad to hear my friend.

A local knife shop owner said for me to give my single blade nut a thorough cleaning with dish detergent. It's gotten some effects of a rotund Maryland native affected by the elements... My two blade nut is going strong, but I think it wants it's buddy to come in out of the cold for a bit. I've been thinking of sending it in to the Case spa for a proper treatmetn, but don't it want it gone for too long.

Wonderful stuff. These knives deserve preservation.

Do you know why the Peanut has such a strong following?

Answer: Because it has such a strong "leg" up on "you" and "me" (leg-u-me, get it?) Legume.

HA, I kill me!

2 7/16 inches closed. Two blades, each 1 7/8 inches. Single Bolster, 1/3 the length if the knife. Kinda shaped like a Barlow.
Rough Rider 858 "mini trapper". Does it get me in the peanut club?

Hmmm. You need to submit photo's and a description of specifications to the Cult. They will then send it to a panel that will look at the feasibility. The panel will then send it to committee for debate. You will be notified.

My God, I've been living in the Washington D.C area too long. Gotta get outa this place!

Nope. I've seen pics of the Rough Rider 858. Definitely not a peanut. Looks more like a cross between a Case Pocket Hunter, a Barlow, and a Trapper.

I love you, brother, but no cigar. The secondary blade is too long. You need to go to Blade Play and spend $32.99 on a CV Case Yellow Delrin scaled Peanut. This will give you a "Golden Ticket" and permanent entry into the cult.

Slow down, motorboat! A Case with CV blades won't warp, chip, peel, crack or blister. It will outlast you and, in all likelihood your childen and theirs. (Remember, the "Golden Ticket".) :D:cool:

afishhunter: RR Peanuts are acceptable for membership. It's the pattern, not the maker. In any event, once you join you still have to wear the robes, chant, and drink kool-aid when offered.

Let that be a lesson to you!;)
