Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Just used my Boker Stockman to cut up some fatwood and cut some cord for the Boy Tin I'm making for my mate's little lad :)

#92 Eureka, has graced my pocket for a little over a week, it's really great. Helped with my ginger/garlic chicken, one of my chef knives assisted.

^ Great pics fellers

I see you used your chef's knife for chopping the garlic Pete. I must say, while I'm enjoying using my pocket knives in the kitchen, chopping garlic is always a bit difficult, hard to get the action needed with a small pocket knife.

Had mushrooms on toast as a quick snack for lunch. I like it with lots of Tabasco and black pepper :)

Tyler - that is very cool! Really nice work!
Is that pine? Looks a little different from basswood...

Thanks everyone. He's going to be fun to paint. I'll probably post more pictures to the whittling thread.

-Jwren, it's basswood. The grain is swelled because I just got done running it under hot water, then use a hard bristled brush to scrub off the little pieces of unfinished cuts.

-- Do the bottle caps in the background represent beers-per-figure? ;)

~ P.

The bottle cap vase was recently emptied to make room for more bottle caps. A little less than 1 vase per figure haha.. Kidding.. Sort of..

Ugly little fella, I love him! Makes me want to whittle, I feel inspired. Now then which knife.......
