Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Used my brand spankin' new Yellow Sodbuster Jr. (via TrevyTrev) to cut some thistles that were growing around my property. I was thoroughly impressed. I cut down about 50-60 8-10 foot plants and it cut the last one as effortlessly as it did the first.

To get an idea on the size of the plants. You can see the Sodbuster in the middle of the pile.

My Northfield Radio Jack helped me remove the worn rubber ferrule from an old feller's walking stick, and fit a new one for him in my local market today.

I'm sure you get a badge for that Jack ;)

My self handled Bethel Ridge Forge Hunter has just helped me prep a tasty (but mild) Palak Paneer. Perfect for a miserable day like today.

I'm sure my brother shall be sniffing round the pan too....once he walks back from Slawit with his two punctured tires! :D

Thanks Scruff! Lovely knife there, and some tasty scran :)

Is your bro back yet?! :D ;)

Ha ha. Yeah. He wasn't exactly chipper when he did arrive.
But he turned his nose up at my offering and opted for a 'spoons curry with his cycling buddy. Shocking.

So plenty left for tea!

Just bought another load of paneer after chancing across it on offer in the German store that begins with 'L'. I think it's a new dish for my repertoire.

Yesterday at work, I used this knife (still covered in authentic pocket lint)...

Used this one some today. It did not disappoint. Photos from my phone (with dirty lens!)

This was a couple days ago. I've been busy so here is a late post. Monday night I used my new to me Kamp-King to adjust the cable hook-up in my dorm room.

Shocking indeed! Have they got a new barmaid or something?! :D ;)

Wow, very industrious P

I was up at 6.00 and ready for some breakfast by 8.00. My new Joker knife gave me a hand

Sodbuster helped with my T-bone

Eureka has become a favorite work knife lately, today I went easy on it, the coping helped make a template so I can try to keep unwanted folks from hunting on my land

Not a day goes by that I don't pull out my knife for something, but today I actually used the punch on my Real Harness Knife. This may seem like a simple little hole on a chocolate milk bottle, but it's much more! :D

My son and I went to pick up bagels and coffee for my wife's work after dropping off my daughter at 1st grade. This little straw hole kept my 3 year old from spilling chocolate milk all over the inside of my recently detailed truck

Nice work with that RHK!

I've been using my new Joker knife in the kitchen quite a bit, but have been neglecting to take pics. It did help me out with a light supper this evening though ;)

That makes me hungry, Pete. Jack, yours is also very tasteful looking.

I could chime in with some nicely brewed bavarian beverage... ;) :D

Nice pics Jack. How would you compare it to the Aitor Castor?
I've been trying to switch it up between the Lierenaar, Aitor, and Opinel in the kitchen. For fun I put 'em up against my new Mercator k55 and the Sodbuster Jr. Pretty interesting results. The Lierenaar was by far the most slicey (a good test is on raw carrots, the offer quite a bit of resistance...well, not when you're cutting with the Lierenaar), closely follew by the Aitor, Opinel and Mercator. The Sodbuster was a bit disappointing. I blame it on the hollow grind on the Soddie.
