Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

I have spent a lot of hours over a period of about 4 weeks slowly giving this GEC H73210 a make-over. It spent several years in storage in a humid part of Aussie and unfortunately came out a little worse for wear.
Its come up really nice (my photos will never do it justice) Gave it a mini workout last night making a mess of my steak eggs & chips.:)

My Rossignol Laguiole helped out with my doings the past few,

Was in the pocket when I processed some maple to cook with

Then did all the food prep

Sunday it helped with breakfast and dinner prep and accompanied me in making a workbench top and fitting a door that was not properly fitted originally, then my wife requested chicken fajitas so I turned the fire pit into a makeshift smoker

Your food photos are killing me, Pete, as I sit here eating half an apple for lunch.:(
Your spread looks delicious, probably due to that French chef's knife!!:thumbup::D

I think Pete needs to open a "bring your own traditional knife" restaurant. I bet he'd get a lot of BFers as customers. :D

Thanks always room for a few more at my table. Gary I think the board of health would padlock the door:eek:

Laguiole needed some assistance from a old Dexter Russell

More great pics, Pete! But today I viewed them while I was eating a breakfast of fruit, vegetable, nut, and seed enhanced oatmeal , so the yearning wasn't as strong for me as it was for your previous food-prep photos. (FWIW, I used an old 34 OT to cut up my produce this morning, in attempt to induce some patina.)

Yesterday, I was involved in a "math workshop" for 45 local elementary school teachers from 4-7:30, and part of the time was devoted to providing them supper. The college dining service set up a buffet with ham, turkey, and vegetable wraps, pasta salad, brownies, etc. But one of the other leaders who helped with the set-up rushed in to whisper to me that there were only 40 wraps and 35 brownies. I calmly went across the hall to the room where the buffet was set up, pulled out my chestnut bone Sodbuster Jr (thanks BigBiscuit :)), and proceeded to slice a bunch of wraps and brownies into halves. A good meal was had by all! :D:D (Sadly, no photo documentation. :( Too bad, kind of a "loaves and fishes" moment!)

Just another day at work for this old KABAR:cool:
The rattler is about 5ft long. I killed it with the rock too, not the truck
