Beautiful Dog... Border Collies are great.

Thanks, John. I agree, they are great. This one is quite a bit smaller than the others I’ve had, but she doesn’t know it. 😁
Border-Collies are so smart and tenacious, they don't need to be big.
Daisy is beautiful.

Dan.

Here’s Pedro, our latest addition. He’s half catahoula and half Idaho shag, which is border collie, kelpie, and Airedale terrier. He’s my first non-border collie and is very different but still very smart and eager and very loving. He acts much more like a hunting dog.

Pedro is just over a year and I’m just getting him started on the cattle. I don’t have any pictures of him working, as it takes too much of my attention at this point, but it looks like he will work out well. I do have a picture of him lounging.

A great idea for a thread! Great looking dogs!🙂👍

Last month was a tough one. Our three year old Cocker died from pneumonia after a visit to the groomers. Hit us really hard since we started with him at 1 week old bottle feeding him to help the owners out. The mom caught parvo, so all 5 pups needed to be fed separately. He was the only survivor.

I really didn't want to look for another dog. I knew my wife started to look at dogs on line after a few days, but I didn't expect her to find anything. Next thing I know, we're in the truck driving an hour away "just to look" 😶
Sooooo....say hello to Jack! (sorry Mr. Black!😀👍).

A Springer Spaniel. Already growing like a weed in just the couple of weeks we've had him.
Asleep in his bowl.

Dennis, sorry for your loss. Even if they are with us for a full life, it's still to short. When it's early on and unexpected it's tough going. Hope that cutie helps the grieving process go quicker. Asleep in his bowl...ha,ha...puppies go until they drop...where they land is where ever they stop 😊

I'd not ever heard of an Idaho Shag, although I've heard of all the individual breeds... Certainly a real good looking dog. 🤠
Thanks, I hadn’t heard of them either. The brother of a guy who worked for me had them and really liked them. I’ve always been intrigued by catahoulas and with something like Idaho shag mixed in, I couldn’t resist. I was a little worried how he would look with all those breeds, but he ended up okay.

Thank you, John!
Looks like your Healer is growing up fast!🤠👍

Dennis, thats horrible to loose a 3 year old - I know that well loosing a 2 & 1/2 year old - he was still a baby - had a Tumour behind his eye and it was terminal, I saved him from the upcoming pain- which hurt me more than I ever want to hurt again, I still grieve for my Beautiful Rottie Luke who left us so many years ago, now we are still trying to get over Izzy - seen in my Avatar -having left us after 16 years of her ruling the House as Queen Bee that she was lol, but it's wonderful looking through here at everyone's Friends!

Its so nice to see that you have that beautiful wee thing in your life - well done to you giving him a loving Home- and he does look at Home there

I understand your feelings well, Duncan. Over the years, I've lost three, one was young, just over three. The last one was 15, when he past.

I also felt that I didn't want to go through the heartbreak and grief of losing another. Then after nine long months of being without one, I decided that for me, the emptiness of being without and the joy and completeness of sharing life with one replaces the angst of losing one.

Dutch has been with me for all seven of his years. I'll not be without a dog in my life again.
