EDC Pens

That's the exact same pen that my Dad used for many years as well. The only pen I ever saw him use. It sits on my desk, but I can't bring myself to use it. Good memories though.

I have a Fisher in titanium finish that I like to use and rides in my pocket always. Very handy pen.

You should go ahead and use your dad's pen. Every time you sign a check or anything, you'll honor him a bit with a memory.

This is what I usually carry. Its a small montblac rollerball. I also have a TAD Bolt action pen on the way to me now. I will see how that compares.

Nice.
I've carried this pen for over 50 years now. My dad gave it to me when I enlisted in the army not long after high school, with the request that I write home every week. It's traveled all over the world with me, and when it turned 50, the twist mechanism was funky, so I sent it in to Cross, and they replaced the guts, leaving the worn dented old Cross that I've come to love. I've tried other pens, but I alway come back to this old friend.

Got My Cross yesterday

For a long time I carried a Zebra F-701 w/ Fisher refills at work. A few weeks ago I started carrying two Uni Power Tank Smart Series in 1.0mm and I love them so far. I think it's a better pressurized refill than the Fisher. It writes smoother and the refills are cheaper. They have a nice metal version that looks slimmer but the refills cost more.

Outside of work, I usually carry a Zerbra Sarasa Gel or Uni Jetstream. Those write pretty nice.

After reading this thread, I might add a mini sharpie to my work carry. I needed a marker yesterday but didn't have one.

I had been thinking about getting myself a pen that would potentially last me a long time if I don't lose it. I did a little research and decided on this Boker Plus K.I.D. Cal .50 bolt action pen. I like the design and it was in my price range.

I've had it about two weeks and the supplied ink cartridge was satisfactory but I bought a couple of Space Pen refills and I'm using one of those now.

Nice little pen for the price. I found it at Grand Prairie Knives for less than $50 shipped.

Right now I'm carryin' a Tuffwriter operator & have for over a year now. Every once in a while I carry a police pro space pen. I've got my eyes on a Hinderer Investigator in stainless. I'm likin' the smaller, less weapon-like appearance of it. I've been in this job for 13 years now & I've carried 8 pens over that time. I've still got 6 of 'em, I just keep refillin' 'em until I decide to retire 'em for a new pen.

Used to be a G2 limited but they went outta stock the week before mine broke Haha. I can get another online but if I order a pen online it'll be a Fisher space pen.

Thanks, it's a really smooth pen. I love the rollerball but it won't write on all surfaces and smears easy so I needed a ball point that could write on wet surfaces.

I learned a similar lesson. I had a smooth writing rollerball that was great until I took it on a site survey in the winter. It didnt write so smooth when the ink froze.

Ooh yeah that's never good!

My problem is that at a restaurant we mark dates on prepped food and health inspector wouldn't like to see smeared unreadable dates.

I carry a Lamy fountain pen (I don't know the model) every day at work. I also have a miniature Derringer wallet pen clipped to the cover of the small Miquelrius pocket notebook I always carry, and a Zebra collapsible pen on my key ring.

I think I may have a problem...

Bladeforums is already the cause of my last 5 knife purchases. Now pens. Seeing the 50 year old cross got me thinking, I want one that will last me 50 years. Just got me a chrome space pen.
