EDC Pens

Thank you, I appreciate it. I'll start searching the hardware stores.

I have about 8 left over that you can have if you'd like. PM me your address and I'll drop them in an envelope with a stamp and send them on their way.

I need to pick some of those up, what size are they (O-rings)? Looks cool, I told ya so! Also, how do you like the ergos on the Tuff Writer? I like the way that pen looks.

From Lowe's they're #5 dansco 3/16" x 1/4" id. The glow ring (where the cap posts) is a 6guage. Need2Know posted a great thread on this a while back,

As for the Tuff writer, it's been a great pen! I wore out the o-rings on it & Jack, the owner, sent me a few. Great customer service! I've carried it daily for 1 1/2-2 years & don't have a single complaint. The only reason I'm retiring it is, it draws a LOT of unwanted attention in my work environment. One day, I'll get one of their clicky pens!

Thanks man, I just got back around here and saw this.

Also, great thread bowman, I missed that completely.

# 36 size o-rings for the investigator.

Update! I was going through my flashlight paraphernalia & found a pack of #36 o-rings I never used. Lord only knows what I bought 'em for. Anyways, the #5 were just a little too big. They sat kinda proud in the grooves & didn't set round, almost egg shaped. The #36 fit perfectly!

About 2 weeks ago, I noticed a friend of mine from work carries a Lamy Safari fountain pen. Just curious, I asked him how he liked it, & he told me how much he loved it. I packed the info back in my brain for down the road, as I had just bought the Investigator. Flash forward to today & he swings by the office. He calls me outside & hands me a Lamy Safari, a bottle of noodler's ink, & a converter. I sat down to a couple youtube videos on the use & 10 minutes later, I'm writing with my first fountain. Thing writes like a dream! Light, elegant, & just classy!

No experience with fountain pens. I would suggest you not loan it out especially to people who are used to firmly pressing with a ball type pen. May have to look into the Lamy if for no other reason that to increase my knowledge and experience.

I wouldn't suggest you use it filling out FexEx mailers. :D

Yeah, I work in a psyche hospital intake. I don't loan my pens to ANYONE! Too many communicable diseases. The state supplies cheap ass pens just for this!

These two...

Picked up a Fisher military pen. Looks like a cheap throw away but it is a great pen. Shuttle pen was getting slippery, military pen is matte so it grips fairly well.

We have a bit of overlap in our collection =) These are the pens in my EDC rotation. I keep my resin and celluoid pens in a storage case and EDC the metal ones.

I don't technically edc any pen, but this is the pen I use at work. It's the Tuffwriter Polished Titanium Precision Press. I eventually want to get the Raw Aluminum Precision Press as well as a Copper Retrakt from Karas Kustoms. I only like clicky pens.

What are the 2 in the middle . They look interesting.

That is a great looking pen. I swear I just heard a faint scream in the distance...it was my wallet.

I too have a titanium Tuff Writer. Actually, I was sent the first ever completed titanium Tuff Writer clicky pen from the Kickstarter project months ago.

It's in here somewhere.

Cool pen but I really like your CZ! I have 3, they by far are the best under the radar gun out there, imo.

I believe those are Karas Kustoms Render K's. The clicky to the right of them is the Karas Kustoms Aluminum Retrakt.

Haha, yeah, it's pricey. I don't know if I would have bought it myself, but I put it on my Christmas list on a lark and was quite surprised when my parents gifted it to me.

Nice. I didn't learn about it till after the Kickstarter had closed. I believe that there are a couple differences between the Kickstarter Ultimate Ti Clicky version and the production Ti Precision Press version, but both are awesomely built and awesome looking pens.

Pilot G-2 is more than enough for my needs, writes incredibly well, cheap and lightweight.

The are both Karas Kustoms Render K's. I stonewashed the grey one myself and left the other one alone. I run different refills in them so this way I can easily tell which is which at a glance. They were both silver at one point.

I stonewash a lot of my items so that the finishes match. Both the hinderer investigators (the 2 on the left) are stonewashed by me as well. The Brian Fellhoelter TiBolt (far right) came so beautifully finished that I left it alone. It's my favourite pen of this group.

The G-2 is a great pen, best gel cartridge that I've ever used. My favorite is the ultra-fine 0.38mm. It's been very difficult finding a parker-sized cartridge that is even in the same ballpark. Unfortunately the G-2 is lacking in a certain... titaniumness.
