Elusive Schrades

These little 53OT were made just before Schrade closed down, and they are very hard to find now.

The 5UH is the same size as the 5OT, they were made about 2003.

These 5 UHs were made just before Schrade closed down, and hard to find now.

Hi Cal and Misplaced Hillbilly,
Back on the 21st September 1971, "Bob" Robert Waldorf Loveless met with a Schrade representative at the "New Wolfie's Coffe House", 330 West 58th Street New York City.

On the back of their menu [I have a copy] Bob Loveless sketched the knife Schrade later made an named the "Schrade / Loveless CH1 Custom Hunter".

The Schrade CH1 sold for US$100 + Tax.

This CH2 was Schrade's second Loveless knife.

Man you are my hero I'd love to have a new 5OT in the package I have a Boker 503 Barlow in the pack and no barcode so from the 60's or early 70's
That 53OT is sweet as well.

Hi r redden, from Australia.
The Older 5OT in this 1991 Display unit, is one of my preferred 5OT knives.

Of all the 5OTs I have in my collection, the Blue Bone 5OT in this unfinished set is with out dote as good as it gets.
I have seen the Blue bone knives, with out the shield and blade etch.
My set is only missing the U.S.A. Flag in the display.
This set is just an other one of those sets, that did not make it to production, around 2003-04.

The Pro Hunter, also looks good in the Blue Bone... Ken,

I posted these in the Schrade forum but they fit in here too. Group of seven 2-1/4" Cut. Co. lobsters. No two are the same. None are any younger than 74 years old. I think the pearl knife showing five visible pins is over 100 years old. All the blades on these knives have a smooth walk and good talk. I'd sure like an unused 9606 (4-blade MOP variation) to go with these but that variation continues to elude me.

The two knives with 5 visible pins have no liners utilized in their construction (which necessitates the visibility of the fifth pin). The other 5 knives have milled nickel silver liners.

Beautiful collection. Keep chasing your missing pattern. It's out there and I'm sure you'll turn it up. Just as I did today. I located the earliest wire jack. It's a small spearpoint without the bottle opener notch. The tang stamp has no date just "pat. apld. for."1473CCFA-2D62-4A51-AB8A-FD4B9DCC1CA3.jpeg~2.jpg

Thanks for the encouragement! I have followed your quest for wire jacks. Impressive. I'm glad you landed the earliest one. That's always a good thing for us collectors.

It takes years sometimes, Alan!!:eek::D
Beauty of a Pen, Cal!!
