Elusive Schrades

Gorgeous Knife Mike!!! Like Duncan said, "isn't peachseed just lovely!!"

Beautiful covers indeed!!!

Thanks everyone. I always thought NYK Co. jigged bone was some of the best made, but this peach seed is right up there.

That's a sweet knife, Mike!! A real nice example.
Sorry I have been away from this thread for a while. I knew about the knife, but not the post!

While I am here and on the topic of fine Peachseed, I think I will post my Oregon/Schrade booty!
I was going to put it in the Oregon Knife Show thread, but it really belongs here anyway.

Turns out a past president of Camillus was quite a knife collector. His collection, many Mint Camillus and Schrade knives, numbered several thousand - 6 or 7 thousand!! (Swoon. . . . . . !)
He passed away, and his collection was recently sold. The two pens here are from that collection. All I could afford!!

The fancy Jack I got from our friend Mark Nagle, who sometimes gives us a peek at his superb Peachseeds!

These are all Salesman Sample knives, though I couldn't get the numbers to all show up. Maybe one of you Photoshop wizards can extract the ink somehow!!?? (fourth pic maybe?)

The Jack is a real treasure! Referred to as square-bolstered or flat-bolstered, I have only seen two of them in this smaller size! The one Mark kept, and this one! Thanks, Mark!!

I have often wished I could see it compared to the larger Schrade Jack of similar configuration, and now I can do it! For your viewing pleasure:

Great examples Charlie. Yet again I commend you on a wonderful find! Gotta make that show one day.

I love this thread:D Charlie, on the two Schrade Cut Co pens, do they have half stops on the small blades only?

Thanks Brad, Doug, Gev!
No half stops on the pens, Gev.
BTW, the larger pen is the famous "Zulu Spear" knife!!

Thank you, Charlie! Both pens are crazy beautiful ...but the Zulu makes you want to run around all giddy.

I almost speechless!, owning just one knife in this category would be amazing!, They smashed a LOT of blade into those two small knives, and that large Zulu ..... is where the speechless comes in.....

Our viewing pleasure it sure is!!

The past president of Camillus who had the collection was certainly a man who was on a mission....OH to be able to ever view a collection of such immensity!!!! One day I hope to be able to have the pleasure of doing that - Has any one here seen anything of this proportion? Amazing, thanks once again Charlie.

All excellent knives Charlie. They look fresh off the press at Long Pull City!

The fancy jack, like a smaller 2202... I've only seen one of those before.

Fine booty there Charlie! Love to see those long and swooping clip blades, where many you see have been tipped/shortened.

Well Russell, thanks, and here is a real long, real swoopy blade for you. Thanks to Hal for bringing it to my attention - maybe you can provide some data, Hal?

A big 4" long, with the original finish and factory edges, this is a nice example of the Peachseed genre!

Single backspring, so it's nice and slim in that dimension also!

Ohhhh man, those pens are my cup of tea. Amazing knives Charlie, congrats.

Best regards

Robin

Picked up this Scharde Walden NY USA #294 1/2 Trapper, Still has factory edge and some great looking peachseed jigged bone,
nice colors...imho. Full blades and excellent action. Spots on main and few on pen because it wasn't stored correctly.

Jason
