Elusive Schrades

Wow Paul those are some beautiful Schrades. I really like the fancy threaded/rat-tail bolster on the jack on the left!!!

How long is it, Paul? It looks like the same pattern as mine, curved stamps and all.
It's a beauty!!

Lyle, I never answered you question about the composite handles.
I have seen that type of plastic maybe 6-8 times counting all patterns. Yours is the first FJ I have seen in it!

I am way down in the holler here,so I just caught up to the pack. Cold trailing...

Nice find Paul,I like those big ones, and thanks for the answer Charlie. Some call it pick bone.....

Figured we'd get this awesome thread goin' again! Here's one I had been looking for for a while and finally happened across one recently. It is a Schrade Cut Co Walden N.Y. and I believe the model number is 8634, a little brother to the 804 Carpenter's Whittler at 3 3/8 in closed length.

That is a very handsome Schrade Walden Nick - beautiful peach-seed jigging, nice looking shield, and a length I am rather fond of!:)

Fantastic knife, Nick!! Just gorgeous bone! Thanks for sharing as I always get excited to see this thread pop up.

That is beautiful, Nick! Particularly nice bone handles, and a desirable pattern. Great knife!!

Nick that was one of my favorites, then I discovered farmers jacks and rooster combs. That is a great pattern ,especially with the Schrade Cut stamp.

Here's one I have been looking for ,albeit ,it has a lot of wear.It has been quite the elusive Schrade, and I'm tickled to find one in any condition.

An S7303 Schrade Cut rooster comb with the flat blades .The rooster comb blade can be used as a bark loosener. The bark loosener has jimping on the underside of the tang for a thumb rest while using the top of the blade (opposite the cutting edge)to open the bark.

This one seems to still have pretty full blades. I would think that would be hard to come by considering the vintage. Very nice, and glad you found it. :)

I have a Schrade Cut Co. single spring 4" elusive, I am pleased to share. Its a grail to me.

What a Beauty Gev! - perfect size! 4 inches closed and a nice slim carry at that! Gorgeous!

What a bunch of great knives. I've spent the last hour and a half reading, but mostly looking at the knives in this post.

I'm not sure how elusive this knife is. It's a tester. You can make out the Swift's Sausage etch on the blade. The scales are some type of plastic I think.
