Fall Trackrock Hammerin?

If you are planning to attend. We are asking that if possible, make a quarter sized brass or nickel silver "Token" with makers mark or stamp on it for a gift that we will be presenting to the owners of the campground for appreciation of them graciously allowing us to hold our shindig at their facility. It would be nice if Carl could get the tokens ahead of time to affix to the gift . but if not just bring one with you please.

All I have is 0-1...mind if I etch or blue it?

Should be fine Brian, Just try to keep it as close to the size of a quarter as possible. If you blue it , wont it hide your mark ?

I was thinking of Blueing it then not darkening my etch so its sort of a reverse mark. I havent had much luck getting my mark black these days?? I may need to clean up the metal under my pad...

I'm in the same canoe Brian, don't have any nickel silver or brass so I'm using titanium.
Is it ok if we spiff the token up a little with some carving and such??

Crex, there'll be room!
Just hope my shocks can take the extra weight, lol. I built the thing extra heavy dury.

Lmao!!!!!!!!!!
Then you'll know how I feel when you post pix of your knives, ya bastid! :)

will anybody have any cable (for damascus) at the hammer-in?

I don't have much, but would like to bang on some there with the experts.

Just goes to show you how poor knifemakers are! None of you have seen or held a Quarter? If it's bigger I don't have time to grind it down to size, if it's to thick I won't even consider mounting it on the board. No more than double the thickness of a quarter folks. I can pop a 1/16" hole at the top if it's soft enough. If you make it out of material that's not easily drilled, you better have a hole in it when it shows up.

!You don't make the size limits you don't make the board!

This is simple, the board is finished. I have allowed room for a specific size token. I will not have time to alter or adjust for someone else's miscalculations.
You can be creative as you like within those size paramiters.

Please remember this plaque is to show appreciation to folks who have shown us kind and giving hearts over the past years. It's representitve of you, me, all of us and will most likely be displayed prominently in a family oriented campground.
Therefore nothing you wouldn't show your preacher, your mother, or your prospective father-in-law.

There has been plenty of time to get these done and to me. I will not spend Saturday morning trying to get them all mounted. Late arrivals may have to wait until after the presentation.

Ok I found a sucker (er uh friend) who was willing to trade. Jonah and I'll be up Saturday and we will bring a surprise (the one and only Calvin Cooledge). Since neither one of us knows which end of a hammer to hold we'll bring knives and purty Tomway display boxes to show (along with a hawk that needs a stamp :)) .

If anyone needs anything please drop me a line.

Oh boy, oh boy.

If anybody has some 16 oz bottled water laying around going bad please feel free to bring it along. I have plans................he he he.

Glad you are going to be able to make it Gus. I'll bring needed stuff to mark a hawk.

That's great Gus! Be good to see you again. Hammers ain't to smart, you can probably sneak up on one and get a good look at it. Won't take you too long to figure out which end is easier on the hand.

See you guys soon.
