Just got my rig from Rob. Well worth the wait.

Nice, Brian. Rob does great work. He did something similar for my BATACLE and I'm very happy with it. I have a large survival sheath for my SFNO, and I wish it had the fitted kydex. I may have my good friend GentleBen bend one for it when he gets some kydex. Regardless, though, Rob's design is great, and your pics make me want another Fehrman. ; )

I really gave the Last Chance a beating last week and this knife will handle some heavy chopping.

I took down a 5" trunk and root for the firepit and then split it and the Last Chance never missed a beat.

I had folks watching me chop and they were impressed that such a "short" knife could do such big work and throw such big chips. They were blown away by the fuzz sticks I could make with this little fatty. :)

The sheath is absolutely the finest pairing I could have wanted for this knife and did exactly what I want how I want. Now they're both a little dirty and have been officially "broken in" as a pair.

I missed this knife the whole time Rob had it for sheathing and now that it's back I'm not going to miss an opportunity to use and enjoy it.

And to think...you almost sold it to me. Aren't ya glad ya didn't? Now ya got me thinking I want another one myself.

Would any of you guys happen to have a spine shot of the Last Chance? Im really starting to want one but have never seen one in person, the pics help alot.

Here's a spine shot of the Last Chance, next to a Busse BATAC LE.

Here's the Fehrman in an unmodified Spec Ops sheath, works nice enough.

How is the tip thickness on the last chance? Is it pretty beefy? A pic would be great:D
Thanks for the pics BTW

My Last Chance has been given a bit of a break as I beat on a First Strike for a while:

I really liked this picture and thought I'd bring this thread back up. :)

I stripped a Thru-Hiker a while back and it takes about 10 minutes to get the coating off and then a few hits on a Scotchbrite belt brings up a really nice satin finish. I only did the bevels on mine and left the "natural" finish on the flats and handle.

Just FYI, Eric was not as excited about my stripped Thru-Hiker as I was--something about messing with perfection. :D

Is it so easy to get a satin finish?
Does this mean the blades are nicely finished under the coating, different like say Busse?
I might get a "coated one", leave the coating on the handle for protection and do the blade.

Any one has a Peace Maker and a Fallkniven for a comparison picture?
