First Look - Kershaw Echelon

The translucent handle is a thing of unusual beauty. I like the blade shape as well though I wish Kershaw had gone all the way with so beefy a knife and made it a 4 inch blade.

Two suggestions to make it perfect (imo). Have a flipper on it, or at least be available, and make the thumbstub removable (like screw apart). I LOVE that handle, and while I am not a huge fan of Kershaw G10, I would buy one of those in a heartbeat, once I can get it from a dealer (too cheap to pay retail).

The first photo's look like a ghost jade G10 the ones that I see featured on some of the dealer sites do not appear to be Ghost Jade - look more like a desert tan or something - which is an accurate representation of the handle material?

Glad to hear that Thomas cause the pictures floating around some dealer sites are not too attractive IMHO.

Wouldn't know about those pics.

Just keep staring at Post #1 in this thread. That's the color of the G-10.

Digging the translucent G-10, deep pocket carry clip, overall shape, blade grind and pipe thumb stud. However, not feeling the slot on which the thumb stud is embedded. Still, would buy it to get the feel in hand and the only issue for me might end up not being such an issue because of all the positives of the knife. Thanks for the pics.

looks fantastic open, but looks kind of funky closed...

love the low rider clip and the leaf shaped blade!

I would deff look into it

Man I love the g10 on my Rake and ZT350 as much as the G10 on my Spyderco's. Just the right amount of grip and not denim destroyers.

I don't get the guys that say they don't like the AO, umm take out the spring perhaps?!?!?!?

I see a set of these in my collection in the near future! Only missing the DAM model in my Skyline section (unless I decide to go ahead and get a non-Snap-On red, which is likely!), and the old "High Tech Series" knives are getting harder and harder to find (recently missed a couple of varients that I "need" on the 'bay recently), so this is looking like it will be my next quest. I actually love the features that make it a departure from the recent "norm" for Kershaw (not that I don't love the "norm"!). Keep up the great work, Thomas, and btw, don't feel bad if you decide to issue all of those interesting Skyline varients that you posted pics of recently, my budget will survive... lol!

Nice design, I like the grinds. Can definitely see the inspiration from the Strider SJ75 and with the popularity that one attained, I'm sure this one is gonna sell well too.
