At my parents cabin. The deck just got finished Monday and the bear was doing an inspection!!

Good job Chris. If you could do that everyday of the year you could still not put a dent in the population. But it's a start. Wild hogs are a huge problem, HUGE. Non native to the America's, the Spanish brought them 500 years ago, smart, fast, tough, eat anything, live anywhere, drop two litters a year, no natural predators. You don't need to go to OK. I'm 50 or so miles west of you we have plenty.

Thank you and I wish I could do it everyday but the wife probably wouldn’t agree haha. WOW that is very generous of you and I will most likely take you up on that. I’ve been looking for a lease for a while but there isn’t much around here.

Well it was a pretty good night, we shot 12+ hogs but were only able to recover 7. Got into a couple good groups and a lone boar. Heading back to Dallas now and hopefully catch a few hours of sleep.

A highly destructive invasive species that should not be here. Well done.

Oh heck yeah. Is your hunt in New Mexico? I heard a podcast the other day with Calvin Redhouse, a houndsman, as guest from the Navajo nation. It was a good listen and sounded like cool country.

It's actually in the NE corner of Arizona, Unit 12. It's pretty wide open out there and beautiful country. I'll definitely get pics when scouting next month.

It's nice to see so many hunters in this community.

I'm relatively late into the game, wrt to my interest in it. But I took up archery as a pandemic hobby and that led to an increasing interest in going bow hunting. It's taken a lot of practice to become a halfway decent shot and I think I need a couple years yet to have confidence in going bow hunting.

Anyone here go at it with a bow? Recurve or compound?
