Fishing rods...huh?

It's all good man. We all go back and forth. I love the perfect pitch ( saying I love the pp would of been bad lol) if you are throwing a 1/2 total weight as you lightest it will have zero issues bombing it out there. It's also a great pitching rod and skipping rod honestly. Hence the name I'm sure. You can also use it for a frog rod too. The tip is phenomenal on it. Either one I'm sure you will love.

Sweet, that is what I was wanting to know, I really don't ever throw anything under 1/2oz so I think it would be a better fit plus I personally like to throw larger baits in general,( bigger bass) I was just worried about the tip and castability of the rod which you have cleared up for me. Yea, the majority of what I throw is trig, jig, frog and topwater so when I go pond hopping that one will be able to do all of them

I would use it for all that said except one thing. Top water. I have lost so many fish when using treble hooked baits with that thing it's stupid. Single hook presentations or double frog hooks and keep the JM for top water lol.

Hey just wondering what you thoughts on the MB FX68 viola are? Compared to the zillion sv tw. EBay has it for 220.00, not bad at all from what I have seen them go for.
Not sure about the t3 platform...LOTS of moving parts in that one to go wrong

I was just reading on tackle tour about the fx68 spool I think dude put it in his tdz said the spool is wicked!!!

Well gents I got her re assembled.....an avail star, some pink and purple trick parts and a hawgtech swept handle later to go with the paint and spool

Looks great mcs. Really did a good job your first time!

As for t3 platforms I'm not a huge fan. The hood has issues and sure it casts great but the new sv spool is far superior. I wish daiwa would put mag 3d in all of their reels. I'd still take the zillion over the fx any day. But then again it's just me

Thanks.

That's what I heard about the hood too. But it seems like a very popular style over in Japan I am guessing by all the versions and mb models.

Find a tdz 103/105 and put an sv spool or a Fx68 spool in it!

I have heard about the tdz, what makes them so good, everything I have read seems to indicate it is most people favs, just don't know why

It's small but solid and pretty much any daiwa spool or daiwa reel part for customization will fit....There are the TDZ 100 and TDZ 103/105 if you get the latter, you can put steez spool in it, or the fx68. You can basically build a super reel out of it that can do anything from BFS to small/med swim baits make it cast for distance or cast light bait etc.....

Ahhh...so its the platform that everybody loves, the most customizable reel they have then

Yeah pretty much....A few guys I know have been buying extra spools either stock and aftermarket and then fitting them with different line.
So you want 15 pound copoly or 50 pound braid....If you get a flexible rod like the EMTF It and be a cool thing to use one setup and switch spools based on clarity or technique

The tdz still lives in the 103SV but it's not nearly as light. They 103sv is basically a sv version of the good old zillion. The tdz is great reel but the finish is crap and won't handle even carpet rash. You can find them used but beat up for relatively cheap and if you find one with minor scuffs it's instantly alot lol. I personally think the steez was a worthy replacement for the tdz

Will a fx68 spool fit a steez?

What's yall's thoughts on a used older style steeze vs a new zillion sv tw, I am thinking the zillion cause to me the only thing the steeze has over the zillion is magnesium(wieght) and more bearings
