Flashlights

Mine just blinks after 5 clicks (like what I would use to alert an oncoming car when walking my dogs)

My rotary 200 and 250 do it(sold the 200), but my 120 HiCri and 200 Exec. non-rotaries do not. I haven't reprogrammed either.

Hmmm? I can access it on the programming modes of all the lights, but can't make it permanent yet. This reprogramming requires some patience.

Back to following my own advice.... Nothing to see here "Working just fine as it is" ignorance is bliss. "Serenity Now".

No Rubi, you went down the rabbit hole. Your light is now not functioning as intended...

JK, what a crappy thing for me to say! To a moderator no less:) Perhaps it was added after the first few runs of 200's. Who knows??

Wooooosaaawwww....... wooooosssaaaaaawwww..... LOL! Awesome Rubi! That damn flickering candle mode :)

Ok guys, I will admit that not having a clip was a concern before I purchased the HDS. However, seeing the lanyards you guys tied on yours inspired me to do the same and I have to say that the lanyard comes in handy. I finally got to go for a walk outside tonight since it wasn't -20 outside and the HDS was a perfect companion. The lanyard enhanced the experience. I think the para cord with no bead is a fantastic utilitarian solution. I am going to think twice about purchasing a clip when they become available.

Just came back in from letting the dogs out for last time before lights out, HDS 250 Rotary in hand, worked so well wasn't even tempted to 4 or 5 click, however I did light a couple of scented candles when I came back inside, I'm good.

5 clicks and mine flickers and goes right back to original settings once you turn it off.

I went digging in the bucket for a few HDS w/ lanyard photos that likely were already posted earlier in this thread...but it's topical, so here are a couple...buckets all funky...nothing's in any kina of order anymore...

The 5 click candle mode is a definite hit with me, I'm such a sucker for gimmickry! Hoping the 170 neutral rotary will have both the candle mode and the warmth of my 120HCRI....and my 120HCRI is also sans candle mode, I'm thinking Henry snuck the easter egg in to the new lights for kicks...... What a whimsical chap he is! My experience with the RCR123's so far is limited to only two weeks time or so, and I haven't had a need to change out or re-charge the battery yet. I'm using the AW 750mAh 3.7v charged to 4.1v via the XTAR VP1 charger. So far I couldn't be happier with the output of the 250, the longevity of the AW 750mAh, and the digital display on the XTAR VP1 charger....but I'm only on the first battery and the first charge cycle.....Does anyone know what the shelf life is on an idle RCR123 charge? Can they last weeks, months? My current user has been in my 250 for about two weeks, and seen some evil cold temps, without so much as a flicker{other than candle mode :)}.... I'm tempted to call henry and interrogate him for more easter eggs.....I'm so greedy!

I know Wowcoop! I was like what is this wizardry!!! Haha! That stuff gets me too!

I guess it's the caveman in me.... :D

I don't know anything about rechargeables

Do let us know of your inquires :)

I have a Malkoff MDC that has had an RCR in it for over 2 months. It still is at 4.17 V on the meter. The VP1 is pretty awesome. I got a second one to keep at work.

I went ahead and tried the 5-click fun...but before I felt foolish abonded after a few tries. My Rotary is a 200 and it's programmed to my wants...no longer factory defaults. So no easter egg revealed itself after 4,5, etc clicks...from off, from on, and rotary both at full max and full min. sets.
