Flashlights

I just got into flashlights and have been very pleased with my Klarus XT11 which has the Cree XM-L2. It's not that small but I keep it in a sheath on my belt for edc.

^ Thanks! I might have to try one myself. I'm a big copper guy. I edc a copper lenslight micro that is a twist on/off and I really like that feature. I find that clicky flashlights turn on in my pocket quite often. I've never had an accidental on with a twisty.

I had mine turn on in the pocket. I was getting some strange looks at work, looked down and saw that I was glowing. I had the thing twisted just enough to be off, but the pressure from my wallet was enough to make contact. I now roll it off a bit more. I'm going to be adding some teflon tape as suggested above this weekend.

Protacs are sweet!! I had one and loved it! I also have a microstream, great little AAA light for the price.

I think you will enjoy your Maratac, some one said carrying it in your pocket fells like a roll of quarters. I don't think it feels that heavy, but I enjoy all the milling and the copper look, plus the simple twist operation. A little hint that I picked up on CF is put a couple of wraps of plumbers Teflon tape on the threads, just enough so they aren't seen. If gives it an even more solid operating feel and keeps it from twisting inadvertently.
Your wife is very thoughtful !
put some tape on it this weekend, thanks for the tip! very smooth still, yet not twisting on too easily.

I felt so naked yesterday... first time that I'd neglected to place my little copper light in my pocket since receiving it. All is well in the universe today as it sits in my pocket!

I carry several items at any given time and some are used far more frequently than others...however one truth has shown itself over time: if I ever forget an item, even one that I didn't use the day or days before...I find it's needed when I don't have it readily available. Happens often enough that you notice the item's not with you and it never fails...someone will ask to borrow a lighter when you left yours behind, someone will ask for some gum after you know it's gone and so on...

Just realized I left my HDS in my cargo pocket of my work pants at the end of the cyle.... haha! Sure glad it's an HDS :D Built tough! That's why it gets along so well with my XM's

Good news on the HDS KJ! Has anyone heard anything about the new surefire E1D? It looks pretty impressive on paper, but I'm holding off getting one for the moment at least (or at least as long as I'm capable of holding out).

Just picked this up last week... Lenslight KO with Ti strike bezel and Ti tail stand cap. I love that it's a USA built light and the folks there couldn't be any nicer.

Nice score DC. I love my lenslights. I edc a LL micro and rotate night carry between my LL mini and an HDS 170. I haven't tried a knockout yet but I'd like to at some point. Let us know how you like it after you put it through the paces. :)
