Flipping from the exchange

Well being as it is that your basically molding a rule to fit what you want it to, then no. BladeForums is a marketplace for anyone who sells anything. That rule applies to everyone then. Btw a mod has seen my posts. They even replied in the thread. If he feels the need, or speaks with other mods and they feel the need, that I buy a dealer member I will. Not sure how many times I need to repeat myself.
I don't make the rules, enforce the rules or "mold the rule to fit what I want". What I did say was "based on what I have seen in the past... "

And that’s fine…. I don’t need to state my viewpoint on that a 4th time. We can all read

Again with the name calling. Cmon man be better then that. Anyways it isn’t a business as I do this for fun and enjoy it. I make a few dollars, get to handle some great knives and make new friends. What’s not to like. As I said I can pay for a dealer member, but then what? People still complain. There isn’t an end that’s agreeable for all. You all don’t like flipping, I could careless honestly and so it goes.

Make new friends? I’m presuming you’re mistaking being someone’s “friend” with being on their ignore list. The fact is threads like these always result in losses for you and the other flippers like you, because you officially come to the attention of a ton of people who read this thread and decide not let you take advantage of them or of BF because you’re just here to make money off of people. You can pretend like this thread is no big deal, but I want you to remember it the next time you post that weasely little “take Spyderco” and the seller doesn’t even respond to you. It’s going to be great…and so it goes.

Ok. Thanks

Insulting other members is in violation of forum rules my friend.

Where is the insult? Sorry didn’t see it. Anyways this is boring now. Everyone made their points and nothing changes. You all enjoy what you do and I’ll enjoy what I do. See ya round

See you around? Like you aren't going to reply again? That would prove me wrong that you think you must get the last word, I guess.

So I've been perusing this thread and so I figure I'll offer up my viewpoint on this subject. Once an individual purchases or trades for a knife no matter whether it be on whatever forum or site it's that person's knife to do with what they want. Good bad or indifferent. You can sell for less, sell for more or trade it for less or more. I think most members here are savvy enough to know a good deal or a bad deal on whatever knife they choose to buy or trade. I've learned my lesson a couple of times by doing research first via the NET to find out what it is and what it may be worth. Now whether that seller or buyer gets a decent deal well its up to the buyer to find out what's what. Simple as that. It's a free market place out there. I see a good many number of knives out there over priced especially Emerson factory knives that folks ask an exorbitant amount for and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Maybe cause they are only dealer direct now? Beasts me. Just sayin is all.

As I stated earlier I’m of the mindset that if you own it and paid the asking price then you can do what you want. So of course I’m in total agreement with your statement. Nice cool levelheaded answer. It won’t make you popular but it is facts

If treating this place as you've been said to do..You do nothing positive for our community and you literally leave this place worse than when you come in.

Ignorance truly is bliss.. when you know wrong is wrong but you've self justified it's still fine to do so until someone calls you out on it.

How many of those "customers" are still happy down the road when they come across the original thread you've marked up on from.

Thou doth protest too much.

Profiting on the loss of others sounds like a pretty fun hobby 😑

Mines sharing with others in the community, buut YOU ARE RIGHT. It is a free place to represent ourselves and conduct ourselves how we choose along as we're in the rules.

The thing this post fails to take into account is that some folks choose to sell their knives here because they're part of a community and so are trying to pass a knife along to someone else who'll use and appreciate it at a lower price, not because they're trying to profit in getting every last dollar of value. So, when you have flippers come in here and use this place as their "Buy low, sell high" playground, that does nothing for the community.

That's one thing you'll notice about flippers: they don't care about this place. They're just here for the cash, man. There's a reason why these people get called out.

Yea actually no. I’m here because I enjoy knives and it’s a hobby to collect them. My father has collected knives since I was a kid so I have always had an interest in them. With this place I get to see lots of pics of nice knives and learn etc etc. It totally isn’t just about money, not even close. If I make a few bucks along my knife journey then great, why not. Your blanket statement really is far from facts

How is it a loss to others? You pay the asking price, the person sells for what they want. Makes no sense
What kind of hobby is to put fellow like minded "friends" as you call them in a position to pay more for a knife you had NO intentions of doing anything with aside from MAKING PROFIT.. FOR FUN
