for winter, what Buck ya carrying and how cold is it...

When this thread started folks posted temps that seemed actually dangerous.. I'm sure before Spring we will see a few of those.. Plenty of room down here in Florida!
We used to take a break from the PA winters & go down to Daytona for Bike Week every March. After we were there a few days, if it dipped down to 50 degrees, we'd be walking around all bundled up like it was cold or something.:)

24 degrees and freezing rain. We're staying inside and waiting for the snow to start.

The Lady Buck was renamed White Knight early on, same knife.
Would a guy rather buy a knife that said he was a Lady or a Knight?
Originally white, the early resins have yellowed with age.

Going full circle, would a Yellow Knight be a Lady Boy?

In keeping with the OP, it is 21f in St Louis today. Not in my pocket but I have a 256 Decatur on the end table next to me. Black G10 scales, a great letter opener with a long slim blade. Retired with plenty of food and TP on hand, plan on staying inside for a few days.

I have here a 506 "LADY BUCK". The Lady Buck designation did not last very long as this knife first appears in the 1979 catalog labeled as White Knight. I take that to mean some Lady Bucks were made in '78 and the name changed before the '79 catalog was printed so probably rare with the Lady Buck box which would be the only indicators of the Lady name. Also of interest is the box itself, the first I have ever seen of that shape. Any you see today are not white anymore as the resins in the micarta have yellowed.

Cold spells are one thing and heat spells are another. I remember about 60 years ago when it warmed up 85°F in 24 hours. Of course it was still a couple of degrees below freezing, but it was shirt sleeve weather. We will probably be about -15°F tonight, and as always I'll have a 303 in my pocket.
