That Le Thiers has some of the best lines of any knife. It just seems to flow perfectly.Beautiful wood. I have one myself:

Sorry, Christian, I should post more often. I get in a rut, and for several months have been carrying the same three knives most of the time (one at a time!). I did use my laguiole tonight to slice some tomatoes and cut some lettuce.Vince! Thank you for sharing that. Most of the photos of your lovely knives seem to have disappeared into the ether.
Yes, Alan, I don't know that there are many more beautiful knives than the Thiers. It is a fairly modern creation, but just lovely. That Le Thiers has some of the best lines of any knife. It just seems to flow perfectly.
That may make it to me one day, but for now I will be quite happy with the Laguiole I have on order. It may have been a silly reason but for my first traditional Franch knife I wanted one with a "bee." It only seemed right., I don't know that there are many more beautiful knives than the Thiers
Love my Laguiole. One of my first French knives. You gotta get an Opinel. And a Douk-Douk.That may make it to me one day but for now I will be quite happy with the Laguiole I have on order. It may have been a silly reason but for my first traditional Franch knife I wanted one with a "bee." It only seemed right.
Wow! C'est magnifique!Always a treat receiving a packet from France. Adding to the pleasant surprise was the fact that my parcel was delivered a full ten days ahead of schedule. It was packaged better than any knife I have previously received, being wrapped in what looked to be two meters worth of bubble wrap.

Unfurling the wrap revealed a business card and my knife, slipped into a velvet pouch for additional protection.

With a polished 14c28 blade, ebony covers, and fine guillochage this jewel from the workshop of David Dauvillaire is a true treasure. It immediately claims pride of place in my small menagerie of laguioles.
