GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

A lot of the Pioneer Bones look like Oily Creek Bone. I like the ones that are almost all cream-colored, like previous Pioneer Bone handles.

Regarding the polished stag, I asked Mike if there would be individual photos to choose your knife from, as there was so much variance in the slabs. Sadly, he's not able to do this. But, from the pics online, they all look really nice, just all different. As long as they are well-matched, I would be happy with any of the ones that have been shown.

thats the one i almost bought

My first 25. I didn't reserve this one, as the jigged bone pattern/color was TBD. After seeing them on GEC's site, I made the effort to get one, and am glad I did! Still covered in Titusville Gravy:D:cool:

That's definitely a collection and a nice one at that! Some of those have been a bit elusive, congrats Alan.

Thanks Jeff, even with all the criticism GEC seems to be getting (a product of their success) they do make a fine knife.

I just received a 25 spear point in goldenrod jigged bone. I lean towards clip/drop points on these guys although I do have one sheepsfoot. I picked this up because I wanted to see if the fat spear point would work for me. What I said about the sheepsfoot goes for the spear point also. I believe that any of the four blade types will be satisfactory for the uses this pattern will see. In fact, aesthetics aside (which I can't overlook) the spear point might be the best. Why? Because sometimes more steel is better.

I still prefer the clip/drop points better, but if you want a 25 and the spear point is what's available, I wouldn't hesitate to grab it. I was actually hoping to go for one of the Unicorn Ivory acrylics but lunch called and I missed. Let's see how I do tomorrow with the Northwoods clip points. Okay, on to the photo.

Yeah I guess they had some problems with the white acrylic and numbers were cut back a bit. Not a whole lot of them out there. I like the spear aesthetically the most. I guess any blade shape with do since it is such a small knife and it will just be normal every day tasks that any knife will do.

I keep swinging and missing on the unicorns, but I have a micarta and a jigged bone on the way.

Let me know if anyone wants to swap! ;)
I am in the same boat. Few and far between since there were production issues with the white acrylic. I guess that is going to make it a prized possession. Who would have "thunk" it.

It makes total sense to me. This is the first run ever that I chose the acrylic as the one to get, so naturally there would be problems.

I'm sorry, everyone. I feel like this is my fault.
