GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

I'm a little umm a lot bummed that I received the email that my Acrylic could not be fulfilled. It was going to be a anniversary gift from my wife.

Only one I was able to snag was the linen micarta. No complaints!
(The lighting is bad in here. Color/texture in this photo isn't accurate at all.)

I got the same email. I'm telling your bro, they had unexpected issues with the acrylic. I thought that this variant was going to be the easiest of the run to get. I focused more on the jigged. But I am fortunate to get what I got, so no real complaints as it is my first GEC barlow.

How I love seeing these knives roll forth! :)

This is my sleeper favorite of the run; the micarta goes so well with the bolster, and the WLST® Can-Do pattern.

It really jumps out in the various, er, other pictures I've seen. :p

I was pretty confident I could nab an acrylic, and bought the micarta and jigged bone as a backup plan. I would've thought the pioneer bone would've been the hardest to get... though they are pretty scarce, too.

I have to say though, as a non-micarta guy, the micarta knife is really nice!

Well I have been wrong twice on this run already.
I agree with you two, when I reserved the acrylic it looked to be the least in demand I thought it was a sure thing.
The other mistake was thinking that I would finally be able to grab a TC Barlow with it being a forum knife. For some reason I thought more would have been made.
I'm hopeful I'll be able to pick up at least one variant.

Missed out on ALL of them that my dealer had, this is the curse of living overseas on different time zones. :(

Pity but there it is. Nice look to the Jigged Bone and some of the Pioneer examples too. Congrats ladies&gents

Regards, Will

Looking good :thumbsup::cool:

Wow those look great. That's the only one from the sfo I ordered. So glad I did. I have a jigged and pioneer bone that will be here soon. I'm so excited. I'm more of a Tidioute guy and couldn't be happier with the 2 bone choices for the run.

Why would anyone pay so much for a northwoods little bay when they do not look nearly as good as these northfields and tidioutes?

I think they look "as good" but not so good that I'd pay the extra price. I do like the blade on the Northwoods though.

I had a denim in my cart, but let it go because I want the money for the rendezvous. I want a denim micarta knife of some sort someday, but this is was not that day.
