GEC #47 Harvester and #74 Cotton Sampler. First 2023 run.

Are my eyes deceiving me or am I seeing ebony Harvesters in the wild?
It’s partly the lighting that must be making the Chechen look really dark. It seems to get darker over time too, at least that’s what it seems to be doing on my 2014 viper.

Haven't seen those yet. Where'd ya peep those?
They landed in my mail box just the other day, both from separate dealers.
Great looking pair there Ralph. How does the action compare between the two?
Thanks Pete! The action on the Chechen rose wood is a little snappier and just a tad heavier pull than the Micarta.

I came across a distributors pic posted on IG with a Rosewood and what looks like an Ebony side by side. With them doing the few green micartas on the Tidioute an Ebony Northfield seems in line

And they specified it as an ebony? Maybe something from previous years? Or just a darker tone of Rosewood?

Looks like ebony to me

Sure does look like ebony. As nice as the Chechen is, ebony always looks like the perfect handle material to me.
I already have ebony from the forum knife last year so I'll definitely be trying for the rosewood. Ebony does look really good though

At least, the ones going for the cotton sampler will know that there are four different scales.
Unless Bill decided otherwise....
