GEC #47 Harvester and #74 Cotton Sampler. First 2023 run.

Regarding the hawkbill style blade, it is evident it would be particularly beneficial for some tasks. Although, how would be foe EDC?

Best regards,

Jigged micarta is the best micarta, the all steel construction is great, love the bolster and shield, very slim, pull is around a 5, I prefer a 6.5/7. My copy is centered, flush, super nice.

I dont see why this couldnt be a fine EDC. The blade seems like it would be great for food use and amazing for a package opener. I have a small orchard of 7 fruit trees and this will be nice for harvesting fruit and propagation. This knife would also be very good for leather crafting. Very well done by GEC. A lock back version in stag and one in cocobolo would be welcome also.

I bought and paid for the micarta because I wanted to put it to work, but they sent me a rosewood. I think I'm still going to put it to work, but I going back and forth about selling it to get a micarta instead. Do you think the rosewood begs to be babied? I think It will look good worn in. I try not to keep anything that should live in a tube. I do love the way the chechen config looks.

Same here Will Power Will Power ...
Which of our knives will reach its finish line first (Finnish in your case)?
The Great Eastern Contest across the Big Pond is ON!
Well, that's no contest 🤣 You're only half way across the Atlantic:D Plus you don't have to deal with Suomen Posti and Customs....the last packet I had spent 15 days in 'sorting' at Helsinki before coming here, a journey that in the old low tech non Digital Days used to take 24 hours or less. But, do you have trees in Iceland to prune?;)😆

There are many 'parcel Limbos' for a good knife than just Suomen Posti. More than we have trees in Iceland I bet 🤣
But don't worry!
The knife will be gifted to my father-in-law who lives abroad. His recent retirement and gardening enthusiasm will keep him pruning hard when summer comes.

Got a 47 natural micarta harvester last night on a dealer drop. They stayed around for about an hour. I wanted the Rosewood version but wasn't quick enough.

I think I paid to much compared to other dealer prices but I really liked the knife and didn't want to miss out on it.
