GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

That's very nice Tim. Is the blade reground also?

Nope, I was just playing with fill light to highlight the grind lines :) It does make it look rather crisp though. It's the blade from the Wharncliffe Clip 2 Blade no 77 Barlow in Dark Chestnut Bone.

Tim, nice looking 77. That's probably exactly what I would do to one as well. Do the nail nicks open any easier than the single long pull clips?

Al, great job coordinating your needle nose to your Barlow, your covers match nicely.

All those red bones are looking great!
Here's my humble smooth undyed bone.

The crack around the bottom pin seems to have stabilized(thank god!). hopefully this summer the aging process will speed up a bit with all the humidity/ sweat and what not. This thing seems like it's taking forever for the bone to really start showing its wear.

That Barlow is sure lookin good! It's obviously well-loved. Yes, summer conditions will accelerate your aging considerably trust me.

Glad to hear the crack stabilized.

Hey AL and Harry - I finally got an updated picture of Big Red just taken this afternoon.:D

Looks good Ron !!!! That is about what mine looks like , but I will try to post a picture tomorrow !!!! I am starting to realize just how big a change has happened to Arizona's 77 and how far we have yet to go and I live in an area that is a little bit cooler than you guys.

I have been very interested in watching the way all of yours have been aging. This was mine after about 4 months of every day carry:

It seems to me that the black wears off quicker on some than others.

Cory - That is a beauty my friend. I have noticed that most of the ones that are loosing the black tend to be from the last run, which are spear blades. The dye process can certainly vary from run to run.:)

Coming right along, Ron

Cory, that is a good-looking knife

Thanks AL

Ron and AL : My up-date

Harry

Looking good Harry :D
