....when I got the text about the preorder...
Well my beloved red sawcut 77 Barlow that's been my constant companion since it's arrival last September fell to the tile floor in the kitchen yesterday, cracking the mark side scale in two places. I called 911 (Glennbad) and it will be enroute to him this week for repairs. The African blackwood single sheepfoot 77 immediately stepped up to fill in for the time being.
Now my dilemma... What scales should I go with since it's going to Glenn for repairs??? I'm open to suggestions, but am thinking Ebony or African blackwood. But also can't help but like sawcut bone for a Barlow! What to do??
I can't get Photobucket to upload pics since yesterday, but when I can I'll post the damage. Hairline crack at the butt of the scale and the other up front near the bolster.![]()
