GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

I was a bit disappointed there wasn't a poll on BF for the 2017 barlow blade configuration... now I see why -

Nah, I have just used BF most times previously and went a different way without putting much thought into it.

facebook= officially puts me 'out of the loop'. I'll have to ask my kid to keep me updated. I wonder how many folks here have never logged in to Facebook?

you anti Facebook guys are missing out on some real great slip joint knife communities.

anyway, I kick myself for not getting one every time I see a 77 barlow wharncliffe in ebony.

I hope you find one. The guy that I sold mine to said it was his grail, I'm pretty sure I let it go below market. I haven't seen him around here in awhile, but I'm hoping he still has it and it is still his grail.
I believe that was me and yeah I still love it. I posted a picture a few pages back. Thanks again!

Still my favorite slip joint.

Edit: maybe I didn't get this one from you, but we have swapped a few. I think this one came from TXJohn. I still miss my spear STREK a little. Hope you still have it.

I know there are plenty of folks who love two bladed barlows. But I humbly and respectfully venture that a single blade barlow is the classic and elegant option. No matter what the configuration, with Mike and GEC at the helm, it will be a barlow of the highest quality. And that's what ultimately matters ...

Looks really familiar. Regardless if it was Mike or me , glad your still happy .
When Mike joins FB , I'll start thinking about it .

Yeah, the guy I sold it to was from one of the New England states. I do have the STREK. I traded you a TC Barlow for it.

If I join Facebook, you won't have to, you can use my account, because I would use an alias anyway:D.

Yup, you are correct. Thanks again to you too!

Not on FB here either. Doesn't appeal to me.

Very excited to see what Mike comes up with on this next 77 Barlow run.

I enjoy Bladeforums BF, and Facebook FB. I enjoy 77 even more! Wether a Yankee jack or a Yankee barlow, there's always one on me! I'm really looking forward to what's next. Thanks Mike for putting up with all of us, and footing some fantastic builds!

I don't mean to steal someone's pic if they are on BF. but found this in Google images (I've been told this image belongs to Primble... superb shot!).

This is my dream knife (anyone have one they'd give up???)... so, Mike, I'd love to see this one again. Just a perfect execution and blade combo IMHO.

Yes... THIS... exceptional

That picture is from @Primble I believe. Phenomenal photo and exquisite example of the 77. I would love to see another run of those as well someday!
